Hey there, hope all is well with you and yours.
We got 6 inches of rain Sunday night from that horrible storm, but thankfully it has passed and Monday was a lot calmer. Honey slept right through it but I couldn't. The phone alarms went off multiple times warning us to take cover. Crazy!
I'm popping in to share an art journal page that I re-habbed, as it originally was an exercise in a class I took and I absolutely hated how it turned out. I thought I could turn it into an aerial or overhead landscape view by adding some bird die cuts. But instead of trying to make the ladscape look realistic, I embraced trying a very abstract look, or at least what I consider an abstract interpretation.
My inspiration for the re-do was a page I did several years ago:
I loved making the farmland look like a quilt. I guess I have a fascination for the bird's eye view, lol.
The page I'm sharing today is mostly watercolors, Inktense pencils, Posca paint pens, a little glitter marker and outlining with my Carbon Fountain Desk pen. I created the sentiment in PSE and printed out. The 3 seagulls are Cottage Cutz dies.
Thanks for the visit and I hope you enjoy your final day of April.

Yes, I heardx from a lot of people that the weATHER was really scary! LOVE your beautiful airial view, like being in a plane, great! Thanks so much for another page for AJJ, much appreciated! Hugs, Valerie
I love how farmland looks like a quilt when you're flying. I could watch out the window for hours if I can actually see something below. smile. I love your latest page, and I can see why you updated your old page. I like how you added in the birds and the lovely textured ground beneath. You have lots of shapes there, and you did geometry proud with all the variety. Thanks for joining Valerie's challenge, and have a super Tuesday. Hopefully no more crazy storms. hugs-Erika
You are so dang creative. I wish I could come up with ideas like you do and then actually have the talent to make the idea come to fruition. I hope you are feeling well. I was thinking of you with all the news about tornadoes lately.
Wow, this really is superb - what a fabulous viewpoint. Thanks so much for joining in at AJJ, hugs Chrisx
Both so creative, the first reminds me of a tapestry so colourfully designed. What happy birds eye views these are Aimeslee so much to take in and see.

What a fantastic transformation! Embracing the abstract interpretation truly gives the page a unique and captivating aesthetic. The aerial landscape view with the bird die cuts adds such depth and interest, and the farmland resembling a quilt is a delightful touch. Your use of watercolors, Inktense pencils, and Posca paint pens beautifully brings the scene to life, and the sentiment adds a thoughtful touch to tie it all together. Great job on the re-do!
