It's Merry Little Christmas Challenge Time!

 May Greetings!
Hope all is well with you and yours.

I'm here with my inspiration make for the new challenge at MLCCB.

Here's my card. I don't know the technical name of this fold, but crafter Tina Rappe calls it a dutch door fold. And like her, I think of it as a Mr. Ed door (referencing the 1960's TV show). At any rate, it's a simple fun fold. I had bought the Penny Black "Believe" edger die set a while back and decided it was time to use it. I never found anyone actually using the dies to cut the top part of the card off, but I wanted to try it so I did.

I chose this Splitcoaststampers sketch as inspiration for my layout design.
And here you can see the card closed.
I printed out digital glitter paper from LOTV to use on Springhill digital card stock. I die cut the "believe" and an unbranded Santa sleigh die with the white card. I also stamped a Stamplorations winter cabin on white card using Twilight Versafine Clair ink and fussy cut it to add to the scene at the bottom on a snow ground cut with white card and a Lawn Fawn Stitched Hillside die.

Here's the back of the card with more of the LOTV digital paper and a stamped and punched siggie..

Last look.
Come join us in the challenge!
Complete playing guidelines are HERE.
Thanks for the visit and have a great start to May!

I like both, but my natural card-making style is clean; as exampled here, I chose digital paper instead of ink-blending some - less messy.
Dies used: Stitched Hillside, Santa's Sleigh and Believe Edger dies

I love the blue sparkle sky. It's a great idea because it feels cold like a December night. And white elements not only look great but make it feel cold and snowy too. But since it's not December, happy May to you. hugs-Erika

Beautiful holiday card, Aimeslee! I love the fun way you created it. And I have never heard of digital glitter paper! I need to figure out how to get some. I'm sure it's easier than the real thing. Thank you for playing with the Creative Creases Challenge, and I hope you can join us again soon. We really appreciate your support!

What a clever fold technique! The "Mr. Ed door" or Dutch door fold adds such a unique touch to your card design. The combination of the Penny Black "Believe" edger die set, the winter cabin stamp, and the digital glitter paper creates a charming and festive scene. Great job on incorporating these elements into your card!
