Star Stampz Challenge Guest Design

Greetings to all, hope everyone is doing okay today.
Let's cool off with a Christmas card!
A new challenge begins today at Star Stampz Challenge blog and the theme is
CHRISTMAS IN JULY.
I'm a guest designer for this challenge and here is my make!
I've used the Star Stampz digi Santa's Letter and colored it up with Promarkers.
The image's background was stippled with Tumbled Glass Distress Ink.

I've also used this Splitcoaststampers sketch for my layout design.
The A9 card base is SU, as is the sentiment strip which was stamped using Versamark and white-heat-embossed. The blue layer is a piece of snowflake and stars acetate from the Tim Holtz Idealogy Christmas Stash pad. I ran the acetate through my Xyron before adhering to the blue SU card. I added a horizontal strip of striped Basic Grey Fruitcake scrap that I punched one edge of with a Martha Stewart border punch. The black scrolls tucked under each side of the image was cut with a Spellbinders Fancy 3 Tag die and then cut in half longways.
Inside I stamped sentiments from HOTP and Hero Arts on a piece of white card.
On the back there is more Basic Grey Fruitcake paper and a stamped and punched siggie.
One last look.
👀
Thank you to Star Stampz Challenge for asking me to guest design.
And thank you for visiting me!
Stay cool and comfortable if you can.

Stars on the acetate and stripes across the middle
I actually like both, but have so much patterned paper I feel I need to always use it.
Here I've used both.

Hi Aimeslee, this is a gorgeous card, love how the little girl is posting her Christmas mail. But I couldn't
make Christmas cards now, it's too hot! I had to go into Düsseldorf on the tram today, I had an appointment, and it was so hot and overfilled in the tram, but at the hearing aid specialist's they had AC, I could have stayed there all day! Have a great week, hugs, Valerie

What an adorable card Aimeslee! I love it!! Your coloring is fabulous too. I totally need to start focusing on Christmas cards because 1) I'm two months behind in making mine and 2) it's going to be 115 degrees next week!! Yikes!!

Most wonderful card! And great image. Loving the black scrolls to frame the scene. And you decorated the back of the card. Great way to use up all that pattern paper most us hoard. Thanks for joining us at Krafty Chicks Challenge this past week for our Stamp Act theme :) Hope you join us again soon.
