Hello. Hope all is well in your world.
One topic on my list for my 2009-2012 art journal was my retirement from tax accounting in 2009, and I marked that off by making this page.
I found my box of spray-inked/brayered/stenciled book pages and put a few strips to good use along with a couple of square-ish Spellbinders Labels dies and some Thickers alpha stickers.
I used a sketch of a woman that I'd done many moons ago and also the journaling and the cloud, which was an idea I had that worked. I drew the cloud, scanned it in, then added a couple of Form 1040 tax return forms and typed in a whole bunch of random numbers. Then I printed everything on Springhill Digital card and fussy cut them. The sketch of the woman was already colored, but for the cloud I outlined messily with Big Brush Pens in two shades of blue. Then it was just arranging all the elements and adhering to the pink acrylic-painted background.
Thanks for the visit and have a great FriYay.

Yes, that would be a high stress job; I can't imagine working with numbers all day! I have so many issues transposing them and such! I'd be in serious trouble! Great page with all the personal touches from your job and that sentiment is perfect!
PS...Thanks for sharing at Path of Positivity! ~Katrina
I'm loving this biographical page Aimeslee. That face is great, and if I match it to your photo, it does look a bit like you-smile. And being a retired accountant is a great topic- perfect for MAtilde's challenge. OK, and I am loving the colors too. You've been retired for quite a few years; hoping it wasn't for health issues. Thanks so much for this fun page. I hope July cools off a bit for you, and that you have a super holiday weekend too. hugs-Erika
