Guest Designing at Try It On Tuesday Challenge

Happy Tuesday, Friends! Hope your week's going well.
I have the honor of guest designing for Try It On Tuesday's latest challenge, which is "Go Green". You can go with either the color or a recycling interpretation. I chose the color, which this time of year means new/growth/life. Since my second-youngest nephew and his wife welcomed twin girls to their family this week, I made them all a green and pink new baby (x2) card.

Supply List:
Basic Grey Oh Baby Girl 12x12 designer papers and letter stickers
Tan copy paper for inside sentiment
WinkWinkInk Sweet Peas colorized digi
Copic Markers
Altenew Frame of Leaves 3D embossing folder
Satin ribbon and Sequins from my stash
Corner rounder punch

The pinks in the colorized image didn't really match my paper and ribbon very well, so I colored the pink areas with a couple of pink Copics. I use Promarkers usually, but the pinks I have didn't work so I opened up my old Copic stash and found what I needed. I'm showing the original image at left and my coloring at right.

Here is the card's background mat of Basic Grey paper embossed using the 3D folder. I used the chisel end of the marker to color the leaves. Once again, the Copic was a better shade than the Promarker for my purpose. Whenever I do this, I always keep the paper in the folder as I think it makes it a bit easier to color.

I just think the deeper pink goes better. I found some sequins and some green and pink satin ribbon. Also used the stickers that came with the paper pack to make a sentiment on a scrap from the collection. Whole card is Basic Grey, even the card base. I ink-distressed the paper edges.

Inside. I did use a pastel piece of copy paper to print the sentiment that I created in PSE. It's on a mat of BG.

And more of that BG on the back of the card. This time I colored the siggie with the Copics I had used.

One last look.

Thanks so much to Jo and the gang at TIOT for asking me to guest design. I love y'all with a passion, I think I'm an old timer playing there by now.
😍
Have a great day!

There's a lot going on in your family based on your most recent cards, and twins is definitely good news. :) Those pea pods with the 2 little faces peeking out is an adorable image. And since green is one of my favorite colors, and since it works so well with a splash of pink, this card makes me very happy to look at. I'm so glad you're our guest host at TIOT for this challenge too. Thank you for joining us. Hope your week is going well. hugs-Erika

Love how you personalized this amazing card. The details are incredible. I thought those leaves were die cuts. I need to try to add color to embossed areas with Copics. It turned out great. Thanks for joining us at Die Cut Divas.
