Happy Day to all!
I have a mixed media birthday card to share today.
Blick Tag Board for 6X6 card base
KI Memories card stock
Canson Foundation 90# watercolor paper
Stamplorations Rose Blooms and Coffee digital stamp
Floral Washi tape from stash
Watercolors, Glitter marker pens, Gel pens, Acrylic paint
Tim Holtz Dot Fade and Linen Layering Stencils
Antique Linen and Peeled Paint Distress inks
Verve sentiment, stamped with Fantasia Versafine Clair ink
Pastel purple copy paper (inside)
I chose this Splitcoaststampers sketch for my layout design, resizing the sketch to 6x6 in PSE.
I printed this pretty digital stamp out on watercolor paper, trimmed the panel down and painted the digi and background with watercolors. I then rough-masked off the digi and added stenciling to give the cup a tablecloth grounding and the background some interest. I watered down a bit of white acrylic paint and splattered it on the background with a small paint brush. I removed the masking and embellished the flowers and cup with gold glitter marker, then made a border with gold, blue and purple glitter markers before adhering to my panel of purple card stock that I'd edged with strips of the floral washi tape. Finally, I stamped the sentiment.
Inside, two panels of purple pastel copy paper. I printed out the framed Impression Obsession digital sentiment, created in PSE.
On back I got a lil artsy with the washi tape on the purple card stock panel, adding a stamped and circle-punched siggie.
I very much love this color combination! The washi tape was my inspiration.
Close-ups to show the glitter, stenciling and white paint splatters.
And final view.
Thanks for the visit and I hope your day is awesome!
