Artsy Surreal Birthday

Happy Thursday and I hope your week has gone well. I'm sharing a very colorful card today for a friend from high school that I reconnected with last year. I discovered she's quite the artist when she sent me me a beautifully water colored winter landscape Christmas card! So, I made this Salvador Dali-inspired birthday card for her.
Supplies Used:
Chatterbox, KI Memories, SU and Springhill Digital card stocks
Mirtillamente Craft Shop Salvador digital image
Melting Clock free domain image from Internet (inside)
Poppystamps/Memory Box Large Ringlets die
Stamplorations flat sequins

I used this Splitcoaststampers sketch for my layout design.
I created 2 rectangles in PSE and framed them in black, then sized Salvador inside one of them. Inside the other one, I created the sentiment using an unusual font I have. I chose to keep them black and white to play off the black background of the abstract circles digital paper, but still be center stage. I added an orange  ringlets die cut underneath the images on the pink card layer to add some interest. Lastly, I added some white flat sequins here and there to accent the white focals. I would have liked bigger ones but these were the largest I had. I do have some sequin dies a bit larger I could have cut from white glossy card, now that I think about it. Oh well... 😏
Inside the card, me trying to be funny. 😆 I found the melting clock image online and added it to my computer created framed sentiment.
The back, with card stock and a colored siggie.
One last look.
Just to let you know, some of these birthday card posts have been scheduled in advance as much of our free time for the present is being spent helping an extended family member who is ill but on the mend. So I'm behind in visiting your blogs, but please know I will catch up as soon as I can.
Thanks for the visit and good weekend wishes to all!

This card is lots of fun. That is a great image of Dali. Those polka dots are the perfect background with those bright colors. I like this. And that quote made me laugh. Birthdays are surreal, aren't they? hugs-Erika
