Hello there! Hope everyone is well.
I've a beachy birthday card to share today.
I used this Splitcoaststampers sketch, stretched to A9 size, for its horizontal lines because I made my background mats front and back with torn paper strips. But then I added my card front images on top, so not a strict adherence to the sketch this time.
Here are the torn paper strips layered on the front and back card mats. Good use of paper scraps!
Recollections card base, edge-distressed kraft card base layer and torn image mats heat-embossed with sand embossing powder at the bottoms. The Gecko Galz ladies are from the By the Sea and Bathing Beauties collage sheets, all ink-distressed edges with chalk ink. The sentiment was created by me in PSE. I added some punched fishies, star sequins and sea life Whimsy die cuts colored with Smooch inks. I also added a piece of ribbon along one of the lower strips that has a bit of shimmer in the threads.
Inside, Clearly Besotted and Stampendous sentiments, stamped with Majestic Blue Versafine ink.

A couple of close-ups to show the edge-distressing, torn edges, sand embossing and star sequins and sea life dies.
