Christmas Coffee Tag

Hello you!!! I hope your weekend treated you with respect! I need to get BUSY on Christmas 2020 so today I have a home decor tag to share that features some hand-stitching and beading.
As is my usual habit, I have decorated both sides of the tag. I began making it back during the winter Coffee Lovers Blog Hop in early December, but as is also my usual habit, I did not get anywhere near finishing it in time to participate. I spied some tiny paper snowflakes on Amazon right after Christmas and bought them with my Christmas gift money. So perhaps I wasn't meant to finish until now after all!

The snowflakes look so pretty as sewn-on edging. I found some tiny blue seed beads in my stash and added one to each snowflakes. My original plan was to sew them on both sides and I may still do that later, but the sewing I did do wore out my fingers and hands for the time being. If I could only thread a needle more easily! lol

I have a ton of coffee stamps and was planning to use them on cards I give, but I've discovered that not that many drink it anymore! WUT??? So, I may just have to do a Java Jingle Bells Mini Tree (Ha! Love that!) and make hanging tags for it using my stamps.

At any rate, I have had the Impression Obsession coffee cups stamp for*seems*like*ever and to my recollection has never been inked up, so it was time! The Stamplorations sentiment is stamped in Versafine Clair green and heat-embossed. The coffee cups were colored with ProMarkers and the coffee and the aromas were coated with Sakura metallic glitter gel pen. Sorry for the blurry pic. It was the only one that picked up the metallic shine.

Tiny blue rhinestones frame the sentiment up top, which was die cut out of card stock scraps using a Clear Dollar 2-piece label die. At the bottom, I created some *Bauble Fringe* by stringing a bead and a bauble (a flat sequin, actually) with embroidery thread. I used Basic Grey Skate Shoppe for my tag base, using one pre-made tag that came with the collection, and then cutting another tag out from the collection paper and glueing the two back to back. To finish off the front, I tied some blue tinsel at the tag hole.

Now on to the other (back) side of my tag: I've used the same Spellbinders Label Nesties, as I did on the front, to die cut my stamping surface for the Stamplorations coffeepot and Cornish Heritage Farms Christmas Cheer sentiment. The bottom Stamplorations sentiment is stamped on the Clear Dollar 2-piece die cut, and all stamping was heat-embossed.

I added 3 silver paper snowflakes that were part of my purchase and then I coated the coffee inside the pot with Glossy Accents and colored the aroma with grey ProMarkers. It was at that point I decided to wait to add all the white snowflakes to this side. I kind of like the rough-hewn, imperfectly-stitched border.

What can I say? It was an idea I had and not too shabby for not knowing what the heck I was doing and having absolutely no game plan as to how to achieve neat stiches. I just intuitively sewed, so I think it's definitely Sigh*Of*Relief-worthy, LOL.

What a cute Christmas tag, Aimes, and just right for a gal with a load of things on her list to do. The tiny snowflake border is DARLING and the other details are so cute - right down to the little pompom beads holding large sequins. I'm really incredulous at the tee-tiny blue centers on your tee-tiny snowflakes! LOL Fabulous creation! hugs, de
