I have quite a few digital images from Beccy's Place. She's a very talented artist from Down Under and her images are beautifully detailed. I thought I'd take the opportunity to print one out and color it up with my ProMarkers for her monthly challenge, which is always Anything Goes with a Beccy's image plus an optional twist. This month the twist is to use this color trio:
So, how'd I do? I do not think I could have matched it any better. I spent quite a while going through my papers, came up with many possibles, but the Dilly Dally collection from My Mind's Eye was my favorite, except no greens. So, I went to Avery Elle's Everyday collection to snag a patterned green sheet.
I used the current Cheerful Sketches sketch for May, sizing it to 6x6 in PSE. To cut that oval, I turned to my Spellbinders A7 Heirloom Legacy dies. My Classic Ovals weren't big enough.
My card base is lime green shimmery Bazzill card stock. I cut my 6x6 bases from my humongous supply of 12x12 card stocks and am so glad I have finally found a way to use them, especially since I haven't scrapbooked in ages. The Crafty Secrets front sentiment is stamped in Nocturne VersFine Clair and clear-heat-embossed. The blue green base mat and snippets is SU card stock and the solid lime green paper is from my scraps stash.
Here's the inside of my card. The Happy Birthday ticket stamp is Inkadinkado and the sentiment below it is Crafty Secrets. Suffice it to say, this card will not be going to my daughter or one of my young nieces lol, but to someone more my age.
Here's the back of my card, using snippets from the front. The siggie stamp is from Clear Dollar's Texas On My Mind set, which of course I bought (many moons ago as they are no longer in biz).
In choosing my papers, the paper I chose for the oval made my image "pop" the best of all of them. Also it reminded me of an old-fashioned tablecloth, so I liked the wood planks for the background. It went with my colors and the grey bucket. I chose the lime green matting paper as it looked like an exact match for my image leaves.
Here's a close-up of Beccy's image. I printed it out on Office Depot Index card stock as it takes my ProMarkers quite well with no pilling and pretty good blending. (The fault lies with me, not the paper, hahaha I am still learning.)

How beautiful! I'm super impressed with the fact that you've done the inside and the back of the card too! I must admit, I have NEVER done the back of a card! Fantastic colour matched to Beccy's optional theme and beautiful colouring of this lovely image. I especially like the sentiment! One thing's for sure... you walk away with a stunning card and HE walks away with .... nothing?? A weekend well spent! Thanks so much for sharing your card with us at Passion for Promarkers!

You've done an awesome job creating your card Aimeslee, it's fabulous! I'm impressed by how well you used the colour palette, I agree that you couldn't have got any closer to the actual swatches. The overall design is wonderful, you interpreted the sketch really well and I love the mix of patterns and textures. Extra credit for decorating just about every part of the card you could! Love it!
Cheers,
Beccy
