As I often do, I used a sketch. I can't really believe I kept the card so low-layer, but hey, sometimes miracles do happen! As I am mailing this card, that's a plus!
Michael's Recollections white Heavy Card Stock for card base
Orange polkadot washi tape - stash
Stamps: Altenew, D.O.T.S., WPlus9, BoBunny
Inks: Hero Arts Neon, Memento, Ranger Distress, Ranger Archival, VersaFine Clair, Platinum Carbon Pen
I did a lot of stamping on this card. I also stamped the oranges right on the card base. I've used Altenew's Main Squeeze set and I meant to stamp them on a separate piece of card stock and use the coordinating die to cut them out. But...I forgot and just began stamping away. I think I got nervous, as this was my first time using layering stamps. The top center orange was the first one I did and it looks great, but my quality decreased with each subsequent orange. Next time I use these type of stamps (I have probably half a dozen different layering stamp sets that have never touched inked), I'm definitely using much better light. Other than that, I'm happy with my first attempt.
The WPlus9 Knock Knock sentiment stamps are another story. This is a really old set and really hard to stamp because the text is so skinny and small. I blame the stamps as I've tried every ink type with them, every stamp pressure, every stamping generation. So, in order to be able to read the sentiments, I had to write in with my Carbon Pen (my only pen with a fine enough tip). Then, for grins, I outlined the word clouds. It does give it a neat look, so I will keep using the stamps, but these stamps were designed poorly - the white space of the text needed to be thicker to accommodate the silhouetted inked background.
Here is the inside and the back of the card. Just went with the conversational vibe and cut out all my sentiments here as well. The BoBunny Hearts are direct to paper, though.
