Butterflies Thinking of You

Hello, Monday! A new week has begun.

I'm sharing a sympathy card today for a friend who lost a parent recently. I combined a sketch with a fun technique and butterflies too.

Supplies Used:
SU card stock
Watercolor paper
Foof-ala patterned paper
My Favorite Things Pierced Rectangle Stax die
Stamps: K&Co, Green Pepper Press, Cornish Heritage Farms
Distress inks, Memento ink, embossing powder
Sakura gel pens, Copics, Platinum carbon pen

I followed this week's FMS Sketch #370. To make my background, I used the Wrinkle Free Distress Watercoloring Technique. I used Pumice stone and Spun Sugar Distress inks. Once the background was done and heat-tooled, I stamped the butterfly collage in the corners with Victorian Velvet Distress ink and heat-embossed. Same for the sentiment, but in Pumice Stone. I then die cut the rectangle and placed it back. I traced around the sentiment letters and the butterflies with my carbon fountain pen that has waterproof ink.

The inside and the back of the card.

Close-ups.

Challenges:
My fun tech is Wrinkle Free Distress Watercoloring

Thanks for coming by and visiting. Have a great week and see you soon!
