December 1st Weekly Post

 Happy Sunday and December!
Hope everyone had a good week.
I'm doing better. I've been following a restricted diet and taking peppermint in various forms. I see the doctor tomorrow for tests.
Our kids came down for the Thanksgiving holidays and we had a fabulous 3 days together.
Honey and I have been winding down from that and took the weekend to laze around.
The theme at SPA this week is Sleigh Rides, hosted by Audrey.
I ink blended a Northern Lights background with Distress Oxides on my pre-cut 4X6 card stock base from CutCardStock. Then I splattered some Titanium White acrylic paint for snow. I cut the focal out of black card scrap using an old die I've never used and adhered it along with a TH Small Chat sticker.

Here's a Christmas card I made using Cardstock Warehouse base and center mat, along with Chloe's Closet Reindeer Games designer papers. I cut 2 jingle bells out of red and gold mirror card scraps using an Impression Obsession die and frames them with these little frames that came with the designer paper collection. The mirror card was also used to mat and frame the Jingle X 3 sentiment, which is a sticker from my stash. I used 4 shiny red flat dots for accents and a corner rounder punch on a few of the papers. I took this angled shot so you could see the shine coming off of the card.
And the Splitcoaststampers sketch I used.

That's all for me today, so have a great week and see you next Sunday!

It sounds like you had a good Thanksgiving. We did too, even though we celebrated a day late. But it's not the actual day, it's getting together. Right? Nice cards this week. I really like the sky scene for Santa's sleigh. I bet it's fun to be able to travel with the northern lights illuminating your trip. I hope you have a great week ahead, and that's interesting about peppermint. Happy December. Hugs-Erika
