November 24th Weekly Post

 Happy Sunday!
Hope everyone is doing well.
I've some personal news. I just spent the better part of this week pretty sick with digestive issues and it looks like after Thanksgiving I will be having quite a bit of tests done. They wanted to start now but I refused because it's been a year since I've seen my daughter and it's not life-threatening so it can wait until after their 3-day visit this week. My only reason for mentioning it is because during the testing and other procedures I may not be able to comment on your blogs as often but since many of you post multiple times a week I hope to read all your posts like I always have but comment on at least the latest one. I've also made several weekly posts ahead to schedule for every Sunday. I had no idea how many things I'd made this year that I hadn't posted yet so I had content, thankfully.
Anyway, here's hoping it's nothing major!
🙏

First up is my weekly 4X6 art for SPA, this week hosted by Cindy with the theme of Upside Down. I found the theme a bit hard until I found this Mary Ellen Smith digital illustration in my files, added an appropriate Shell Silverstein quote, gave it a red border and drew a floor with my Fountain Desk Pen after printing out.

Next up is a birthday card for my favorite cousin. I made this during a session where I used almost all the Craft Consortium images that were in the Sandy Paws 3D deco kit that I had. I got several cute cards made. I used Basic Grey Cupcake designer paper and SU and Color Mates card stock, along with coordinating Sandy Paws washi tape, red enamel dots, X-Cut balloon die, Stamplorations sentiment die and Impression Obsession stamp. I used my corner rounder punch on the focal image and its mat was cut with an Amazon nested arch die to try to match the sketch...
...and here is the Splitcoaststampers sketch I used.
******************
And here's a Christmas card.
The card base is Cardstock Warehouse Electric Red, which I also used for the mats, and the designer paper is Chloe's Closet Reindeer Games. That collection came with square tiles which I've used here and added Sizzix Sizzlits Stencil font alpha dies to spelling JOY. Several little dots of Nuvo Crystal Drops were added randomly to complete the card.
And the Splitcoaststampers sketch I used.

All for this week.
Take care, enjoy your holidays if you have them and see you next Sunday!

I hope the tests are too intrusive or terrible. I don't blame you for waiting until after the holiday. I would do the same thing. You shared some fun cards. The upside down one is lots of fun with that frog jumping out, and how can you go wrong with Shel Silverstein quote? You can't, right? And those pups are super cute waiting for their vacation. Or is that a kitty with the pup? Either way it's a cute card. I want to wish you a happy Thanksgiving, nice visit with your daughter as well as good luck with your tests. hugs-Erika

Your upside down card is adorable...great job.
And the painting on my header is Jessie Wilcox Smith's painting called "Giving Thanks". I love it too.
