A Tag and an Art Journal Page

 Hello!
I have a tag and a journal page to share today.
First, the tag. The theme at Tag Tuesday is Bunny or Hare, I Don't Care.
This gave me the chance to use my 100 Proof Press rubber stamp, which is one of my faves. I usually try to use it every Spring in some way.
I chose a scenic background from this digital image set I bought at Mischief Circus years ago and printed it out.
I stamped the bunny/hares with Nocturne Versafine Clair ink and colored them with Tombow watercolor markers, then fussy cut them out. I stamped the Impression Obsession Willie Wonka sentiment on tissue paper and adhered it to the background with glue stick, then I ran it through my Xyron and attached to a piece of white card stock, then die cut it with a Spellbinders Labels die. I distressed the edge all around with brown chalk ink and then a brown alcohol marker. to finish.
Then I added my tag to this page. I was thinking these two may be lost in time, given their Shakespearean attire and confused looks, lol.
My page started out like this. Strips of masking tape were randomly placed on the page for texture and strengthening before painting. A blue acrylic base coat and green brush off-loadings from painting other pages. Pretty raw but interesting.
So, the first thing I did was to stencil the page with The ArtistCellar's Old World Map London stencil and some Paper Artsy Nougat paint.
Then, using a brown Caran d'Ache crayon, I scribbled around the edge of the page and smudged it in with my finger.
Then I added the printer's block letters that I made into the punny sentiment and printed from this digital set:
I got this set from Mischief Circus also.
Close-up of the streets from the map stencil I used.
The Nougat paint color is a creamy white and really kicked back a lot of the green paint.
And last look.
Thanks for the visit today and have a great night.

I really like the tag. I like the background you chose. Then, when you added it to a journal page, I was quite impressed. I like the texture of the tape, but I really like the stencil you chose. This is a perfect entry for Chris's theme at Art Journal Journey. Thanks for this great entry.

Love the direction in which you took the tag, Aimeslee! Everything looks so cohesive. The sentiments, both on-tag and on the journal page, are perfect. I too have a map-like stencil, but never know what to do with it. (It turned out bigger than I'd imagined while buying. These days, I use a ruler for reference when shopping for stamps and stencils so I don't make these silly mistakes again. ;-) Anyway.) Again, lovely work!

Also, thank you for sharing these with us at Creative Artiste! :-)
