Valentine Tag

 Happy Monday to all.
Hope your week goes well.

The theme chosen this week by Pinky at Tag Tuesday has been Something New. I chose to use a new stitiched heart nested die set as my Something New and make a Valentine tag for my art corner carrousel.

I used red and pink card stock scraps from my stash to die cut the hearts. I also used a Gecko Galz digital image from the Valentine Wishes collage sheet that I'd printed out quite a while ago. I fussy cut it for the center focal image of the tag.

In my Valentine bits and bobs, I found a vertical QuicKutz hearts border cut out of patterned paper from the MFT Sweet Stack paper pad. I cut the hearts apart from the border to add in 3 sections around my focal image.

I added three shiny red heart brads and then adhered the two heart die cuts with foam tape to pop the top layer up a bit.

Close up of image.

Last look.
Thanks for coming by today.
I appreciate every visit and comment!

All three challenge themes have been met/overlap so you've done a terrific job organizing your link locations! So lovely Aimes! I love the vintage image. I bought vintage valentines for my 20 cowworkers. Prepping for classes has taken much time away from me.

The paper you used for your small hearts are adorable. I think you 7 hearts are placed exceptionally well. --Bethie

That stitched heart die set looks really useful. Especially for Valentine's Day, but I like the heart shape and don't mind using hearts all year. I take it the doily is not part of the tag (?), but it does look really nice behind it. Fun tag Aimeslee. Happy new week. hugs-Erika

This is really beautiful Aimeslee! I love the sweet image you used.
My son is further north in the Midlands, but he is ok thankfully. The storms have been scary. Thanks for your lovely comments on my art.
I started the new year with a few hospital visits and a couple of procedures, but I'm ok. Hope you are ok too.
Hugs,
