It's Beautiful Blossoms Challenge's First Birthday!

Greetings and Welcome on this 15th day of January!
This is a long photo-laden post because it's basically for two challenges.
Read on for the details...

It's time for a new Beautiful Blossoms Challenge and this one is extra special because it's our first birthday - we're one year old this month and it's been so much flowery fun making art with my wonderful team mates and fabulously loyal challenge players!
Thanks for helping us get established!
To celebrate, we are having the regular monthly challenge and also a special Birthday Challenge, too! With Prizes!
Go HERE to read all about it and enter your creations.

First to the regular monthly challenge.
As usual, we have an optional inspiration board for you:
Don't you just love all those blue wintery hues and such pretty wintery blossoms?

And this is my inspiration card for you.
I stamped the flower cart focal image and watched a YouTube video on how to watercolor it the Art Impressions way with Tombow markers scribbled on a palette and the stamps, a brush and water.
I've amassed a good number of Ai W/C stamp sets and finally delved into their technique.
I found it to be very relaxing and fun, so I hope to do more soon.

SuppliesUsed:
Recollections white card stock
Heavyweight watercolor paper
SU blue card stock
Prima A4 Georgia Blues patterned paper collection
Versamark and white embossing powder
Tombow Watercolor markers
Art Impressions W/C Flower Cart, Flower Set 1 and Foliage Set stamps
Hero Arts and Stampendous sentiment stamps
Spellbinders Hemstitch Square die
Lawn Fawn Sentiment Banner dies
Fiskars corner punch
Dark blue enamel dots

I used this Splitcoaststampers sketch for my A9 layout design.

Close-up of my painting.
First-time use for these Ai stamps.

The inside of the card using Time For Tea digital sentiments, and the card back with more of the Prima papers and siggie stamp.

And last look for this card.

CHALLENGE LINK UPS for First Card:
I LOVE Prima A4 paper collections and have several. I can make any size card with them and they are always gorgeous.
Media Used: Paper, Stamping ink, Embossing powder, Watercolor markers, Enamel dots
I took inspiration from the blueberry photo at bottom left.

That's not all!

Now for our special Birthday Challenge, here is my inspiration sample:
I love this patterned paper design and had an ancient Urban Lily flower stamp set that I thought looked similar to the paper's flowers, so I used it. I *think* this was first-time use for them, as well as for the Spellbinder dies. (I know I haven't used those before.)

I used this Splitcoaststampers sketch for my A7 layout design.

Supplies Used:
SU card stocks for base and mats
Colorbok Delilah Collection patterned papers
Urban Lily flower stamps
My Favorite Things and My Sentiments Exactly sentiment stamps
Versamark ink and Ranger Lemon Yellow embossing powder
Pinecone Versafine Clair ink and clear embossing powder
Tombow watercolor markers
Spellbinders Peekaboo Trellis Panel die set (yellow leaf panel and leaves, pink layered flower)
Fiskars corner punch
Marvy heart punch

Close up of the stamped, heat-embossed and fussy-cut Urban Lily flowers, colored with the Tombows.

Inside the card, I used the Time for Tea sentiments again and more of the Colorbok papers on the card back.

And last look for this card.

Thanks for hanging in to the end of this post!
Come join us and make some flowery birthday cards.
I appreciate your visit today and hope you have a great Monday!

These flowery cards are so lovely on a cold night. I bet it was fun to make them in January. Especially when the cold has hit. That second one almost has a Japanese look and feel to it. I hope you're staying warm. Snow is coming my way tomorrow, although this cold is more our normal cold. Stay warm. hugs-Erika

Thud and thud!!!! Your watercolour is blended so beautiful with the technique you used. And your pink card blows the sketch out of the water in bright pink.
