Thanksgiving Dinner Dilemma

 Howdy, ya'll.
Hope everyone's having a good week so far.
I'm popping in to share the Thanksgiving card I made to send to Dear Daughter and Son-In-Love.

We kid SIL because he comes from a turkey family and we're a ham family at holidays. Neither Honey or I are big on turkey, so at his family's dinners we brought a ham. The last few years it's just been our nuclear family and Honey's never wanted to mess with a turkey so we've been happy. SIL was surprised at first, but has become a ham convert for our benefit, but we still like to kid him.
😁

Lots of hand stamping on this card. The silverware stamped frame on yellow patterned paper, the word Thanksgiving, and the North Coast Creations turkey and the Deep Red Stamps pig. I did add words I did not have stamps for using my QuicKutz Khaki alpha dies. The turkey was colored with Promarkers.

Inside on left, I used several Crafty Secrets stamps and a Paper Smooches oven stamp. On right, sentiments created and framed by me in PSE.

The back of card...

And final view.
Thanks for visiting and have a great night!

What a fun card and a fun story, I am sure he will get a good laugh out of it! We are a turkey family here and find the cooking part easy, it's the cleanup part that I dislike lol!!

Cute card Aimeslee. I got a good giggle out of it. We're both ham, and/or, turkey here. This year we're doing ham since it's the first Thanksgiving since my daughter moved back home. Plus, ham is easier to cook. Have a great day my friend.

People's holiday meals are always interesting. I can't say I ever heard of ham alone for Thanksgiving, but I do know people who do both a ham and a turkey. I haven't made Thanksgiving dinner since 2020 as we've gone to my sister-in-law's home. Her husband is a chef, and so we always have something delicious. Last year we had a roasted along with a second smoked turkey, but this year we're just having smoked turkey. I love turkey, but the smoked isn't my favorite. However, since I am a guest and not cooking I just enjoy it. I will bring a dessert and probably an appetizer though. Your card is cute. I love how you made it a choice, and so both your daughter and son-in-law should get a kick out of it. And I have those Crafty Secret stamps. I should dig them out because they are really cute. They are exactly what you need to make a Thanksgiving card. :) Have a great rest of your week. hugs-Erika

It was so fun to read about your Turkey vs. ham dilemma! How funny. I don't really like turkey, I am much more of a chicken person, but whatever floats your boat, right? Thanks so much for playing and sharing with us at The Four Seasons Challenge. Happy Thanksgiving!
