A Christmas Wreath and Stocking

 Happy Giving Tuesday!
Hope everyone is doing well.

This Christmas card was made using Altenew and Papertrey Ink stamps and Altenew and Catherine Pooler dies , along with some freehand faux stitch doodling around the border and some sequins from my stash. I stamped the stocking and little sentiment, then die cut it before coloring with Promarkers. I die cut 3 wreaths and layered them, coloring the top wreath with Promarkers and a red Sakura Star Dust gel pen.I colored a piece of white card stock with the red Promarker and die cut the Joy and 3 dots out of it. I stamped, fussy-cut and layered the small sentiment over the bottom of the Joy. Lastly I drew the border using the red Star Dust gel pen and added the sequins and dots. The dotted patterned paper is some very old Scenic Route.

I used this Splitcoaststampers sketch as inspiration for my layout design.

Close-up of the wreath.

The inside and back of the card.
Hero Arts stamped sentiment inside.

Final view.
Thanks for the visit today and have a great day.

The layered wreath is fantastic Aimeslee, I like the tiny berries you added. Well done on the hand-drawn border, all those squiggles and loops are fantastic... love the shine too.
Cheers,
Beccy

I like how you have the stocking hanging from a wreath. And I like the wreath and stocking too. The faux stitching looks great. I often like a border around art. It goes back to my scrapbooking days I guess. But it seems to keep images from floating off the page-of course not literally. smile. Off to visit your other post. hugs-Erika

What a pretty, festive card, Aimeslee. I love how you created the wreath with the stocking hanging from it. I really like all your additional details like making the inside and back look just as pretty as the front, and the sparkly doodling is a perfect finishing touch.
Thanks for sharing with us at ABC Christmas Challenges.
