Sunflowers

Hello, hope everyone is doing well.
Well, I am finally able to sit long enough to prepare a post! I have been in a heap of hip and back pain the last few days, much more than usual. I've just been waiting it out, but with the rain for days and uber-humidity that I'm sensitive to, it's been tough. Today was sunny and dry so I think that helped me just enough.
I have a spread in my faux travel notebook journal aka Tall Journal to share today. I decided on sunflowers so I used some-to-most of my sunflower stamps. All are rubber and ancient, made by See-D's and Leave Memories.
I used Ranger Archival inks to stamp and then Distress Inks to stipple the background. I added some glitter with Wink of Stella brush pens and some dots with Spectrum Noir glitter markers.
We planted sunflower seeds back in March and only two have sprouted and come up. I'm really hoping they will flower. We've had them before and they were so happy-looking and fascinating to watch.

That's it for me. I'm up out of this chair to go stretch and then try to visit blogs.
I had so hoped to post an art journal page every other day, but it's going to be when my hip and back will let me until they behave, unfortunately. Hoping I can get back to normal in a few days.

Take care and thanks for the visit!

So pleased you are up and about again, it's hard to have so much pain. But your lovely journal pages radiate sunshine and happiness with the beautiful sunflowers. I love it when the fields here are full of sunflowers, it just makes me happy. And yellow and pink together are always happy colours. Thanks for making another wonderful entry for AJJ, much appreciated. Have a good weekend, and hopefully one without pain. Hugs, Valerie

Isn't it fun to pull out old stamps to use them, isn't it? I've been trying to do that more too. It helps I finally have my space set up to be more useful-at least for now and at least mostly more useful. If only I could expand the room just a bit-ha ha! I am loving your sunflower page. Sunflowers are so happy plants, and so your page makes me smile. I just planted some sunflowers yesterday, so time will tell how many grow. I hope you have a great weekend and hope the weather cooperates too. Hugs-Erika

I'm sorry to hear you have been in pain. Hopefully it can stay minimal. I am in an experimental treatment program for neuropathy. I was working really well at first. Apparently, the really well is followed by some serious pain. My feeling started coming back in my feet. My dr. told me watch out for the next thing. Apparently the nerves start healing and that comes along with some serious pain. I was told the pain lasts a couple weeks then eases. It's going to be a long couple weeks. Hopefully, it will be worth it. It seems to be painful in all my damaged areas, spine, hips and feet. Anyways, I love your sunflower pages are wonderful. I always love seeing the pages you make! I wouldn't have any idea where to even start.

What a beautiful page full of sunshine - I love the stamps you used! I love it when we see sunflower fields when we visit France. I hope the weather improves - I have rheumatism in my knees and toes and it is always worse in damp weather! Take care, hugs, Chrisx

I can feel your pain. Only mine is in my shoulder, arm, and hand, making it nearly impossible to do anything with my left hand, including typing. I know the weather has a LOT to do with your condition, so I hope you find a way to weather through this.

Sunflowers are Kansas's state flower, so you know how much I appreciate this amazing spread you have created. You have some amazing sunflower stamps. Thank you ever so much for this lovely spread you created using your theme at AJJ, dear.
