A Flower Blooms Once

Hello, hope everyone is well this Wednesday evening!
A bit different look from me on this art journal page. Muted colors, monochromatic look, stamped collage on a stenciled background, using all very, very old Ronna Farrer for Autumn Leaves stamps. I've been drawn to my older stamps lately. These stamps are from sets circa 2010, 2012 and 2013.
I began the page using a 6x6 TCW stencil 'Climbing Vine' and Speckled Egg TH Distress Ink.
I then used Hydrangea Blue accented with Fern Green Ranger Archival inks to stamp my scene. I left it uncolored because I liked the look of it this way.

Close ups of the phrase stamping. I really like the positive message in these phrases, as I really am always amazed at the beauty of flowers.
And a final look where it has landed, on our front entry foyer table.

Take care and thanks for the visit!

Your page is beautiful and full of lovely nature! Great techniques and colors! You've inspired me to do more stenciling; I always seem to neglect this technique and your background is so lovely! Thanks for sharing with us at Path of Positivity! ~Katrina

This is a bit different from your usual style but still wonderfully done. I thought your pretty background was printed paper, but it's so much better being stenciled. This is really lovely. Have a great end of the week. Hugs-Erika

Thanks for supporting MTTC again! It's been enjoyable to see all your floral-themed art journal pages this month. And they've all been unique, distinct. The stenciling adds that subtle background interest as well as the illusion of depth. Great page! --Becca/DT

Sorry to be so late visiting. This was not a good week in my world. I'm not whining, just explaining that my GOOD hand hurt, as did the rest of my body due, in part to my inability to breathe due to the winds from the wild fires in Canada and in part from overworking at my friend Sally's house on Thursday when I brought in 200 lbs of cat litter she had ordered from Amazon. Then today I can barely sit because of a muscle I pulled in my back from carrying in the above mentioned litter.

What an absolutely STUNNING journal entry. I am so impressed with the romantic vibe it gives off. I love how you have created the focal image in a frame on the page. I also like the colors you chose. This is really charming and a perfect entry for your theme at AJJ, dear.
