You Cured Yet? Encouragement Card

Happy Tuesday to you. Hope things are fine and dandy in your world.

This is a card of encouragement for my brother and his family. You may recall the armadillo card I made. That was for my brother's youngest son. Well, my brother landed in the ER week before last for appendicitis and while there they discovered pneumonia in his left lung. He went immediately to the hospital where they removed his appendix, but not before it had ruptured and gangrene began setting in. So it was a very close call from being a much worse outcome. He's been back home for a week but still experiencing some problems, so I wanted to send him some encouragement to take it easy, recover and know that we are praying for him, our nephew and our sister-in-law (who has 2 patients to take care of now).

I used this Splitcoaststampers sketch for my A2-sized card layout design. I moved the focal point image down a bit to accommodate the little mini dies I cut out of some of the white card.
Supply List:
Recollections and Wausau card stocks
Black n white designer paper scraps from stash
SU stamp from the very old Farm Fever set
Nocturne Versafine Clair ink and clear embossing powder
Art Impressions Health Mini dies
Black and white pattern washi tapes

I composed and framed these sentiments in PSE and printed out on copy paper. My brother, like me, loves The Eagles rock band, hence the sentiment on left. Factoid: While Jackson Browne was not a member of The Eagles, he lived next door to Frey, who was, and Browne played him the partially-written song he'd written, telling Frey he was stuck and couldn't finish. Frey came up with "It's a girl My Lord in a flatbed Ford slowing down to take a look at me" and they finished "Take It Easy" together. The Eagles then performed it. My brother knows this, or if he doesn't he will Google it. Then it will bring him a smile. If he already knows and I'd put The Eagles, his reply would be, but it's technically a Jackson Browne song. Heehee, he does keep me on my toes, and that's what little brothers are for I suppose.
😅😊😍

One last look.

It sounds like your brother is not going through a fun time. That doesn't sound like fun. It's great you're thinking of him and that you made him a card. And a nice card too. I think you picked a great Eagles quote for the card too. Have a great middle of the week. hugs-Erika

Dang girl!!! When it rains it pours for sure. I'm so glad your brother got to the hospital in time. Healing prayers going up for him. He'll love the card I'm sure. Didn't know the "Take It Easy" song was originally a Jackson Browne song. I always thought the Eagles were the original writers.
