Happy Wednesday!
Hope all is well with you.
Today I'm sharing my design team make for the new challenge at Beautiful Blossoms.
Since Jan Mathew of Jan's Digi Stamps has joined our crew, I decided to color up one of her pretty spring floral images in her honor. (She's current having a Spring Flower Sale, by the way.)
A longtime family friend of ours passed on last week after a long illness, so I needed a sympathy card to send and arranged this lovely vintage country scene in PSE.
Supply List:Bazzill car stock base
Canson Foundations 90# watercolor paper
Jan's Digi Stamp Spring Tiger Lilies images and sentiment
Promarker markers to color
Distress inks to stipple and ink blend
Spellbinders 6x6 Matting Basics square die to cut printed scene
Here's the optional mood board for the challenge which starts today and ends April 12. I chose the colors and the white lilies to inspire me. Of course, you only have to feature flowers in order to play. Go HERE for all the rules.
I kept things Clean and Simple on this one and let the beauty of the illustration shine. I haven't been feeling well lately and will have to start a series of infusions as my bloodwork shows I need help with my inflammation. I've had them before with good results and am hoping to replicate that.
Thanks for the visit today and I hope to see you play in the challenge!

The arrangement of this lovely set is breathtakingly sweet, Aimes. I'm sorry to hear about your friend's passing, and wish you and their family well. Your coloring of the tiger lilies is delightful and delicate! We used to be able to grow tiger lilies in our area, but over the last twenty years, the winters have prevented enough cold weather for them to winter well, so unless someone comes up with a "hot-all-year-long" hybrid, we will have to enjoy tiger lilies from photos. Such a wonderful card, Aimes!

Sorry for your friend. This card is so lovely and sweet, great colouring. Thanks for joining us at We Love Stamping!
Aimeslee: thanks for posting at FarmQuest General Store! You can also add this over at FQCB since we're doing a last time offered AFCG theme over there for 2 weeks. Delightful image/country scene that reminds me of visits to many relative's farmhouses as a little girl. Those that had flowers in planters, buckets, bins, window boxes, etc. always caught my eye. Take care of you! --Becca
Cards for families who have lost someone are often hard to make (because who wants to be too silly or too flashy in such a hard time), but this one is really lovely. And a good one for lifting spirits too. Hope your feeling better and having a great week. hugs-Erika
