Happy SaturYay, hope your weekend plans are just what you want.
While winter storm Olive has hit the North/Northeastern US, another one named Piper is creating trouble for the Pacific coast states. And here we sit down in Texas in the 70's, but that's usually the case. We may get one more real cold front by Easter, but that's doubtful. Everyone is keeping their eyes on the pecan trees for budding, the surest sign there is that winter is over here.
Today I have another Christmas card that is funny cute. I've had a handful of makes in various stages of progress for awhile so I pulled this one out to finish it. Aren't the mice adorable? They and the sentiment stamps are from a Gerda Steiner stamps and die set listed below and I colored everything with my Promarkers. I used one 12x12 sheet of 2-sided designer card stock paper for the card, love when I can use a whole sheet! I ink-distressed the edges of the papers and also edge-distressed the big circle mat. I embellished the blue cup with a little heart stamp that I colored pink and fussy cut. It has a tiny holly sprig with berries.
I chose this Stamping Sensations optional sketch to use once more for my 6x6 layout design because it's quite versatile.
Supply List:
Basic Grey card stock for circle mat
Bazzill textured card stock for card base
Scenic Route double-sided designer card stock paper
Stamped with Nocturne Versafine Clair ink, clear heat-embossed and
Colored with Promarkers
Various Avery Elle Hearts dies cut from card stock scraps
Blue snowflakes punched from paper scrap
Papertrey ink Heart with Berries stamped, heat-embossed, colored & fussy cut
Rocket Red Brilliance ink for distressing
Inside of the card, I used the reverse side of the designer paper and a few reverse paper strips, and a Stamplorations sentiment stamped with Satin Red Versamark ink on a Spellbinders labels die cut.
And the back of the card with more of the paper from the front and a reverse strip with a stamped and circle-punched siggie.

We always search for similar signs here, Aimes. We can expect one more frost before Easter, but it doesn't feel like it here either. So Jack has been busy in the greenhouse and planting seedings by the dozens in the outdoor garden as well. Only a few veggie plants can tolerate the humidity and heat of a FL summer, so we strive to have everything harvested by June. Your Christmas card is extra sweet. Loving those tiny little hearts wafting up with the aroma of hot chocolate! hugs, de
How adorably cute is this, I LOVE it, fabulously fun sentiment too!

Such fun and beautifully crafted in your own unique style Aimeslee. I thought about you yesterday when I decorated the reverse of a card - have to confess it was only because I started by adhering the finished stamped panel upside down so turned the card over and had to do a patch up.
Lovely to see you at Stamping Sensations again, thanks so much for joining us.

This is a fun card. I never thought of the Christmas smell before. But it's definitely a certain combination of smells- balsam firs, gingerbread, chocolate, the smell of snow coming...of course we have that smell now and at this point it is not exciting-smile. But your card is with those little mice. Too cute. What a fun and happy card. I like everything about it, well maybe not the snowflakes-smile again. Hope you're having a great weekend Aimeslee. hugs-Erika
This is so sweet! Love how you've designed it!
Thanks for joining us at the Caffeinated Christmas Card Challenge!
What a cute card! Perfect image for the designer paper you used and I love how you've adapted it to the sketch. I certainly hope the pecan trees are only budding here because this last storm had some nasty winds with it and all the blossoms would be on the ground.
Very cute and so colorful. Love how you decorated the inside and back as well. Thanks for joining the Lost Coast Design Challenge!
