It's Beautiful Blossoms Challenge Time!

Happy Day to you. It's the 15th of the month and that means a new Beautiful Blossoms Challenge begins!
And here is our Mood Board this month for your inspiration. I used the colors pink, yellow, green and brown, the roses, lemons and glass of lemonade from the mood board to make a mixed media art journal page.

And here is what I made.
Supply List:
7x7 Stonehenge Wired 90# watercolor paper journal
Images from Gracielle Designs Rose & Lemons Digital Stamp Bundle
Colored with watercolor markers and colored pencils
Altenew and EKSuccess Sentiments stamped with Pecan Versafine Clair ink
Mixed Media background made with:
Watercolor paints and pencils
Funky Fossil Sweet Hearts and Round in Dots stencils
Twisted Citron Distress ink
Spun Sugar Distress Crayon (edge distressing)

The stencils I used...

Hearts on the background, two ways. After water coloring to get color on the page, I placed the stencil down over the pink and used a baby wipe to remove the color. On the bottom section I stenciled with the Distress ink for the look of a tablecloth to ground my focal image.

Here you can see the stenciling up close, including the baby wipe stenciling using the other stencil on the plant pot.

One last look.
👀
Thanks for visiting me today.
I hope we see your flowery make in the Beautiful Blossoms gallery this month.

These surely are beautiful blossoms Aimeslee. And I actually love all the pink. I never think of making a whole page in pink and yellow, but they do look great together. and of course, you can't go wrong with lemonade. Especially pink lemonade as there is something nice and vintage about it. Thanks so much for making a page to link up to AJJ. It's is much appreciated. Hope your week is going well too. We're in the slow melt here, but slow melt is better than new snow-smile. hugs-Erika

I have not tried the baby wipe technique yet, Aimes, and yours certainly is enticing me to try it! It's fabulous in the background, ESPECIALLY with the positive and negative ways of featuring it! Your project lets me smell the fresh cut lemons and the sweetness of flowers. It's a beautiful card for the Beautiful Blossoms Challenge invitation! Thanks so much!
hugs,

Aimeslee your mixed media page is gorgeous!! I love all of the different elements you used and your stenciling is fabulous. I've never thought to use a baby wipe to remove color from a page with a stencil. I'll have to try that sometime, if I remember. Memory has left the building lately.

Simply stunning colors. Nice pastels that remind me of spring. I love how you used the baby wipe to remover some of the color. I like to use the ones that are not fresh and juicy when I remove color like that. If it weren't so cold here, I would love a glass of that lemonade. And of course, thanks for sharing this with us at Art Journal Journey using Erika's theme.

That stencilled background is terrific - not overwhelming and just soft enough for the image to shine. Beautiful colouring as well :)
