Hap-Bee Birthday

Hey there, what's the buzz? Hope all is well at your hive.
Today I'm sharing the birthday card that went with the tag from yesterday's post. I worked with Distress Inks and Distress Crayons to create the background and the vertical layers under the floral image. I've got a little bee theme going. 😄

I chose this Splitcoaststampers sketch for my layout design.
Supply List:
SU card base
Springhill Digital card
Stamplorations Honeycomb Delight stencil
Cuttlebug Honeycomb embossing folder and folder strip
MFT Hexagons Border Die-namics die
Sweet n Sassy Shape Up hexagon dies
Clip art image from Gecko Galz Bees Knees collage sheet (retired)
Paper on back from Gecko Galz Blooming Waters ATC Set
Front sentiment: Divinity Designs, stamped and heat-embossed

Some detail shots...
The stenciled background before trimming it up and dry embossing it. I used Distress Inks.

A close-up showing the glittery bee wings, dry embossing on the background, vertical mixed media panel (using Distress Crayons and water) and the dry-embossed orange-y die cut on top of that, all underneath the fussy-cut floral clip art image. I used some colored pencils to accent the image and then Distress markers to color the edges.
And a close-up of the heat-embossed sentiment on a layered hexagon die cut, sponged with DI's. Also you can see the mixed media layers underneath here.
Inside, some Bo Bunny papers, a strip of washi tape and a computer-generated sentiment.
On back, the gorgeous GG digital paper and a colored siggie.
And a final look.
Thanks for visiting and have a great rest of your weekend.

And I thought your tag was terrific. This card is even better. 👍 I am loving the honeycomb and the way you made the vase of flowers. Great colors and lay out and of course, the bees too. Have a great rest of your weekend. I’m buzzing off- smile. Hugs Erika

Could your delightful "hive story" be any more colorful and beautiful? I don't think so, Aimes! You do incredible things with paper, and I always have fun seeing just what you're up to in your story-telling. I especially like the inside with "buzzworthy" as part of your story. Wonderful card, my friend!
