We Give Thanks Home Deco

Hello and Happy Thanksgiving to all of my fellow Americans.
I needed another Thanksgiving Deco to display on my foyer table along with one that is meal-themed. I also had fallen in love with this adorable Bestie image and so I went for a patchwork/tablecoth/dessert look, as she is holding the meal's pumpkin pie. I recycled a 7x7" piece of chipboard for a base and I centered a 6x6" sketch card front on top of it.
Supplies Used:
Recycled thin chipboard for base
Tim Holtz Seasonal Collage Paper Stash designer papers
Echo Park A Perfect Autumn designer papers
Paper stash scraps
Springhill Digital card
D.O.T.S. sunflower stamp using Versafine Clair ink
Images colored with Promarkers, gel pens and glitter pens
Spellbinders Hem-Stitched Square and Rectangle dies
Cosmo Cricket Tiny Type Alpha stickers outlined with black gel pen
Art Institute fine loose glitters

I resized this Splitcoaststampers sketch to 6x6" for my layout design.
I covered the chipboard with a sheet of TH collage paper squares for a patchwork look. I chose the yellow check as it reminded me of a tablecloth and the florals on dark brown strip lent contrast and colors. I matted with a turquoise green to keep it fresh and used it on my image as well. The Hemstitch dies created borders around the image and sentiment. I punched random bits out and left others in, taping down the backside to hold them. I then filled the sticky holes with loose fine glitter in turquoise and orange. It adds a cool touch best seen in person, but you can see a bit of it in the close-ups below.
I had 3 shades of Promarkers that matched the turquoise paper well to help me color Olivia Odd Socks's outfit. After coloring the image, I accented with my gel pens and glitter pens, as has become my usual thing to do. The Pimpkin Patch sign needed some black gel penning to help it be readable.
The white letters on the alpha stickers were not showing up well, so I traced over them with a black gel pen. You can also see the orange glitter in the holes.
Thought I'd show the back of the Deco, since I always try to cover the backs in some attractive way.
Here's the Deco close up, hanging on my foyer table display.
And a shot of the entire table along with my other Deco. I think they go together pretty well.
😊
Since it's Thursday, I have some food to share for Rain's Art & Dinner Date.
This was our evening meal last Sunday: Crockpot Roast with onion, mushroom and carrot chunks, mashed potatoes, brown gravy and peas. Our prolonged cold front was kind of getting to us and we needed a fix of good old meat and potatoes comfort food. It was so good and provided tasty leftovers.

Thanks for the visit.
I hope everyone has a great day!

Happy Thanksgiving Aimeslee. I love your deco. That hanging "scrabble" word collection is perfect. And boy does your crockpot roast look good. I love turkey, but I love roast too. Hmmm. Good thing I don't have to chose today. Smile. And nice card too. The image is so very sweet. Thanks for stopping by to visit. Have a great holiday. hugs-Erika

WOW! What a wonderful display, I love how you USA Ladies do things like this. I think I have only seen one person do similar over here, and that is my SiL. SO perfect for the occasion.
