Hey there, everyone. Hope you and your week are both going well. I'm still sleeping quite a bit, then up too long - a vicious cycle that only retired life can accommodate, I suppose, lol. I am still able to enjoy every day, though, and for that I'm thankful. Issues with health, people and situations do get me melancholy but I pray that I never lose the ability to find perspective and keep it. That, and deciding to not "shive a git" so much, works for me right now. πππ
It's time for a new challenge over at Outlawz Wednesday Sketch and our sponsor is Di's DigiStamps. I wanted to make another Christmas card. We were able to use any of our own Di stamps and as I've previously used only 4 of the 23 that I own, I chose a Christmas one from my files and Winter's Kiss caught my eye right away. Their expressions are so tender, innocent and sweet. π
At left is the current challenge sketch, at right is my take on it, shown together so you can see.
You can create anything, a card, tag, scrap page, box, gift bag, just as long as the sketch is your inspiration and recognizable. The sketch is for inspiration. Feel free to flip, rotate, re-size so long as we can see how the sketch lead to your creation. You may enter as many times as you like.
For this card, I pulled a 6x6 precut card base and papers from my Christmas stash box so I've no memory as to who made them. I inked their edges with Promarkers and chalk inks. The Falalala die is Lawn Fawn, the zig-zag strip is an MFT die. Green and white polka dot sheer ribbon is from my stash.
I colored the young lovers with my Promarkers and fussy cut them out.
Inside left I've added CAS-ual Friday stamped sentiment on white card cut with a Spellbinder Labels 8 die and a mat of more of the stash box papers I used on front. On back, more the stash box plaid and a scrap of green cut with an Avery Elle flag die, and a stamped/punched siggie.
And final view. Thanks for visiting - have a lovely day! XXO
MY CHALLENGE PLAYLIST:
I've used ribbon and a Di's Digi image Winter's Kiss
I've used a Di's DigiStamp digital image linked in post

These little people are adorable Aimeslee. I am so impressed that you are still making holiday cards. Do you find it hard to get inspired since the season has changed? I'm playing catch up myself as the weather got nice and I haven't spent as much time on the computer. I hope you get out of this vicious cycle soon, and glad you can keep a good perspective. Hugs-Erika
This is lovely. They are so cute and I love the coy look they're giving each other.
Crafting is such a blessing isn't it? We've got lots 'going on' just now, and I'm finding crafting with my music on, is helping me through.
Take care.
