Happy Hump Day once again. Seems like time has sped up or is it just me? 😆
I'm sharing my design team make for the new challenge over at Outlawz Wednesday Sketch, starting today 1/19 and open until 2/1. Our sponsor is Sheepski Designs and I've used the image Butterfly Hair .
At left is the sketch for the current challenge. Once I had turned it 180 degrees around and flipped it horizontally, I followed it pretty closely. 😎 Just had to get it like I wanted it. 😎
I used multiple dies on the card front: Lawn Fawn's Say Cheese polaroid frame for the focal image, an MFT rainbow stamp and die, Spellbinders scalloped squares and my ever-trusty Martha Stewart butterflies punch. I colored the focal image, largest butterfly and the rainbows with Promarkers. Inside each of the yellow squares I stamped clouds using an Impression Obsession Cover A Card stamp. The sentiment was computer-generated. I've used some green solid card from a Basic Grey collection, Romani I think, along with patterned papers from Lawn Fawn's Really Rainbow 6x6 pad. I put some gel pen dots on the pink butterfly hair stylists.
This card's going to a close girlfriend who has had some life difficulties but overcame them, so I created this inside sentiment with PSE to try to use butterflies and rainbows as metaphors for her journeys. After printing on some green copy paper, I cut it with a Spellbinders die with Lawn Fawn papers underneath.
On the back side, more of the Lawn Fawn collection papers and an EKS siggie stamped and matted with a purple scalloped square die cut.
One last view. I kinda went to town with the rainbow-ing but the cool and whimsical Sheepski image and inside sentiment keep it out of CareBear or My Little Pony territory, hopefully. 😜 Thanks for visiting and have a crafty rest of the week. Stay safe out there! XOXMY CHALLENGE PLAYLIST:
