Time to Shine Birthday

Hello there everyone! Well, I had to take yesterday off from posting as something I ate (?) did not agree with me and I just had to stop everything and sleep. Woke up feeling much better, hope I'm cured now. So back to it! Today I have another feminine birthday card to share that has turned out to be one of my faves-such a pretty, elegant look!
I began with a white A7 card base and layered on Prima A4 Amelia Rose designer papers, with SU black mats. My focal image is a My Besties digital image named Audrey Night Out. I colored her with Promarkers. Isn't she exquisite?

I chose this Splitcoaststampers sketch for my layout design as it was perfect for my Star theme. This was my second time to use this sketch. (Here's the link to the first card I made with this sketch.)
I embellished the flowers in Audrey's hair with metallic glitter gel pen and a dot of Nuvo Clear Glaze in each flower center. I also gel penned her earrings. I hand-stamped sentiments by Verve in black Versafine and also used their Starry Night die to cut all the tiny stars that I colored with metallic glitter gel pen. The two larger matted star die cuts were made using a Spellbinders die. I used my metallic glitter gel pen to dot the white circles in that paper. It took awhile but so worth it for the shine!
Inside I've hand-stamped sentiments by SeeD's on left, and sentiments by CAS-ual Fridays on right.
On the back, more of the Prima papers for a coordinated look, with a stamped and circle-punched Technique Tuesday siggie. I colored the bottom striped paper strip with a pink Promarker for just a little more pinkness. 😀
A close up to show it really is time to shine! Here you can see the dots I made with the gel pen on the white circles paper. I also outlined the big white star with it, and as I mentioned, all the tiny stars got coated with it as well.
And the final view. I just LOVE how it turned out. Thanks so much for visiting me today. Eight more sleeps until the big day! Until next time, stay crafty and well! XOX

Thanks so much for this card. It is absolutely gorgeous. The papers and image are both so beautiful. It's definitely a keeper, but then all your cards are! Homeschool definitely keeps me off the computer and away from card making. Thank goodness I quit my design teams (except one). I would never have been able to keep up. I'm getting used to teaching again. I will be doing it until the end of May and then my daughter will have to figure something else out. The religion is the real killer for me. I don't really agree with everything in his curriculum, but I agreed to teach him as is. I'm off to see what else you've done.

Ooh la la! That image is the quintessential lady and coloured to perfection. The floral background is the perfect setting for the image and obviously the inspiration for the colours you used. This is just so pretty :)
