Ghostbusters Halloween

Wow, it's been a week since my last blog post. Hope every one is doing ok. Same old same old around here. I've been working on upcoming design team makes and didn't think I had anything to share, but I ran across a card I'd worked on that only lacked computer-generated sentiments so I was able to quickly finish it up. It's a good thing, too, because the challenge that inspired me to make it ends tomorrow, lol.
I've combined Basic Grey's Ambrosia 6x6 designer papers on an A2 card base cut from SU card stock with Art Impressions and Technique Junkies stamps, Art Impressions bat and witch's hat mini dies and Penny Black nested Antique Frame dies. The background ghosts and the soon-to-be-toast ghost are TJ stamps. The woman is an Art Impressions stamp colored by me with Promarkers and a few gel pen accents after heat-embossing and fussy-cutting her. I got the idea to use her because she reminds me a lot of the Janine Melnitz character in the original 1984 Ghostbusters movie (their secretary). The sentiment is how she would answer the phone, lol. The actress who played Janine, Annie Potts, was a whole lot prettier but it has been 37 years since then. 😜

I used this very old (2005) Splitcoaststampers sketch for my design inspiration.
I used my grey Promarkers to shade the ghost background and my black marker to edge the paper layers. I'm just sharing the front for time's sake, but the inside and back are lined with more of the Ambrosia papers. I also inked-edged the ghosts using some really old Stone Grey Ancient Page ink and a blending tool. The bats and hat were cut from white card and colored black.

Well, time to get back on the deadline hamster wheel, lol. Thanks for visiting! Stay Well and Craft On! xoxo

Oh my gosh, I love this one! I need one of those devices in my bedroom to catch the spirits that visit here. I have always felt like we have some kind of portal in our bedroom. My grandkids are never allowed in our bedroom. Not too long ago I took the six year old in my room while I was sorting laundry. He asked me about my closet...very strange, about what was in there. I told him grandpa and my clothes were in there. He told me very bad things come out of there. Like ghosts. We have never told the kids about our ghosts. Interesting.
