Father's Day Royal-Tea

 Happy Sunday and a Happy Father's Day to all the Dads in our lives! We had a nice day here. Talked to our daughter, Honey watched the golf tournament and I napped (my Arthurs gave me a time this entire weekend). Then we had a nice steak, baked potato and asparagus dinner and watched it finally rain a little. Tropical Storm Claudette completely missed us, thankfully.

This is the card I made Honey. I used a Dr. Digi image called Remote Control Colin. I cut my card base out of some Basic Grey Gypsy green card stock and then used various designer papers from Kaiserkraft's Homemade and Echo Park's Coffee collections. I colored Colin with Promarkers and gel pens. I stamped the Clear Dollar crown sentiment, and stamped and fussy-cut both the Lawn Fawn crown and the Avery Elle Father's Day banner, all using Memento Tuxedo black ink. I added an Impression Obsession moustache die cut since Honey has one. I do think it makes Colin look more Kingly, even in his BVD's, heehee.

  

I used the current sketch for June at Cheerful Sketches, resizing it to 6x6" in PSE and then flipping it horizontally to accommodate my image. I couldn't flip the image because of the writing on his cup. 

For the inside of the card, I used the Memento ink to stamp sentiments by Verve and Avery Elle.

The back of my card has Kaiserkraft papers, a strip of Echo Park leftover from the front with a 3 Bugs in a Rug Chit Chat sticker that has the same phrase that's in one of the squares of the paper. So of course I had to use it, lol. I added a stamped and circle-punched Paper Trey siggie.

A couple of close-ups to show the shimmer on the foiled striped paper and the gel-penning glitter on the crown and remote.
