Hey There, Cutie Pie!

Hello and I hope you are all okay! I have a new baby card to share that's a little bit different style than you are used to seeing from me even as eclectic as I am. Lately I've been seeing subtle pattern debossing on DIY projects and I wanted to try it on a card using an embossing folder. I'd planned this card for my nephew and his wife to be CAS and natural because that's what they like, so I thought it was the perfect opportunity, especially since it's A2 size and I could fit the Kraft card base in the WRMK folder and run it through my Big Shot. LOL, yeah, you never see me do that! 😲

I used LaLa Land Craft's adorable Sleeping Baby Luka as my focal image and I paper-pieced his cap and pants with DCWV patterned paper. I colored the rest of the image with Promarkers. I hand-stamped the Stamplorations sentiment with Memento Summer Sky ink. I added another piece of DCWV paper behind my image, lightly outlining both papers with Promarkers, and then finished the card front with 3 white sequins.

I used SplitCoastStampers Sketch SC208. After printing out my image twice, once on white Springhill Digital card stock and again on the DCWV plaid paper, I realized I should have flipped it. Well, I wasn't about to reprint the images, so I flipped the sketch instead.

The inside of the card has a See-D's stamped sentiment and the back of the card has a Kaiserkraft stamped siggie. Card done!

And a final view. LOL like I said, you rarely see me do such a spare card, but it was quick and fun! And I really like the debossing, my thin papers lay better because there are no little raised surfaces and as this is a mailer it needs to be on the flat side.

I hope you are having a safe and productive week and I thank you for the visit. Until next time, stay well and Craft On! xoxo
