Christmas Tag

Greetings and my very best wishes for a happy Tuesday! I'm popping in with a little collaged Christmas tag. I'd gathered the bits and bobs for it in a UFAP shoebox lid many moons ago, so when I needed a mindless diversion, out it came to use. Who remembers the Basic Grey 12x12 paper collections? In them you would get a page of tags, all different shapes. Each collection had the same shapes and one was always this triangular shaped tag that I never knew what to do with. Well, I'm going to make holiday tags with them all (I must still have 2 dozen different BG collections eegads!) for my holiday decorations. And because I need the tag to be more sturdy, I will cover the non-Christmas ones with appropriate paper (or thin card stock which is what BG papers are), like I have done with this one.

I think the paper covering this tag is from the Fruitcake collection, just a guess as I've slept since doing it. The only other items I can identify: the girl and blue candy cane were printed out from Gecko Galz' Christmas Joy digital collage sheet, and the little treats sign is from a very old Melissa Frances 12x12 sheet of signs. The peppermint at the top is a leftover from Impression Obsession's Peppermint Stamp & Die Block Duo. I used a little EKSuccess punch and a shimmery white paper scrap to make the snowflakes and the lace, gingham strips and green baker's twine are from my Black Hole of Stash.

One last look -- this was actually fun, so hopefully I will get enough made to decorate one of my little metal "trees" or a Tim caroussel. Thank you for visiting and until next time, stay well and craft on! XOX

I love this tag. SO cute! I think I've only made three tags in my lifetime. I decided this week to drop all my design teams and my senior angel. I am in so much pain with my spine. I have no desire to make anything. My mojo is definitely gone. Maybe, I'll switch back to quilting for a spell.

I really love those vintage like images. So cute. I never got the collection packs so I didn’t know about the tags, but it is great that you found a way to use them.

A gorgeous vintage tag Aimeslee!
Thanks for your comment on my abstract art. Enjoying the process, using colours, shapes and marks you love, and trying not to think about the end product is key. Pick just 3 colours and black and white, enjoy!
Hugs,
Alison xx

Hi Aimeslee! :) Your tag is lovely...it's really cute! Btw thanks for your comment about the KitchenAid toaster oven. I am loving it so far. I don't mind if it doesn't last as long and I would definitely replace it. My big oven just plain sucks and it's not worth the expense!! The bee problem...it's privately owned land but they allow people to walk on the trail, so I really don't know who to complain to besides them, but they are never there. I actually thought about posting a sign myself.

What a great idea to use the triangular tag. I like all the details you have added.
Thank you for visiting my blog even when I was away. I took my pencils with me thinking I would have plenty of time to practice with them some, but famous last thoughts. Other than the two Progressive Challenge projects that I did not want to bomb out on, I never touched them :-(
