Puppy Hugs!

Hi-Dee-Ho, Blogging Neighbors! I hope everyone is well and safe, and that you are getting a little Spring weather. I have been ailing the last couple of days with a flare and trying to get my ability to focus back, so please bear with me if I seem "off" because I am, a little more than usual, heehee.

I made this birthday card for a dear friend in Canada. It's kind of a combination Happy Birthday and Spring card, since I never know how long mail is going to take. I used images from adorable Bugaboo Stamps sets called Dog HouseBirthday Puppies and Canada Flag Puppy , some itty bitty Art Impressions bone mini die cuts and a Spellbinders flower die cut on the front along with Basic Grey Max and Whiskers designer papers and SU card stock for matting on a Recollections card stock card base.

I resized Split Coast Stampers sketch SC826 (above left) to a 5x5-inch square sketch in PSE because I already had that size cut and in my box to use. I think it transitions nicely to a square card and it fits my image well too. I colored the image and the bones with my Promarkers and then went over the black accent marks of the image with a white gel pen. I also gave the pup's nose a little white gel pen, too. The sentiment was added to the image before printing and was a freebie from TLC Creations.

For the inside, I created two square mats in PSE. The left side has my own text sentiments and more of the Bugaboo pups, colored with Promarkers. Since I didn't know if the card would reach my friend before her birthday, I used "Belated", but in case it got there in time I included a rectangle sticker where I stamped "YAPPY" to put over it. The mat on the right side has sentiments from Gracielle Designs Blessed set. Once printed out, I used a Stampers Anonymous Brett Weldele Bones stencil and Pallette Hybrid ink for a cute background. More BG M&W paper under the printed mats.

The back has another sheet of BG M&W with an SU leftover scrap of green and an Impression Obsession siggie hand stamped in green Versafine Clair on some of the BG paper and then circle punched.

Close-ups from the card front of that cuuuuute pup and my line of bones. Oh, the KI Memories paw print circle was stamped with Versafine Clair.

And a final view. This card makes me happy to look at it. I think Spring! LOL I know, we all want it to get here so badly. Thanks for visiting and have a great day! XOXO

Hi, Aimes! Such a darling creation and a GREAT take on the sketch. I especially admire all the tiny colored bones so carefully placed on the horizontal line in the border. Also always, your trademark attention to detail comes together with your bright colors and fabulous embellishments! And now for my other hat: Thanks for sharing your project to Inspiration Station Challenge. We hope to see you in future challenges as well.
Smiles and Crafty Hugs,

This is so dang cute! I just love hoe colorful it is. Absolutely perfect. I am awaiting mu next grandson. His due date is April 11th, but they will be delivering him on Monday. He is very large, over eight pounds already. They expected him to be easily over ten by his due date. He, unfortunately, is breech and since he is so large and in an odd position they don't think he will turn. My daughter is considered to be a high risk pregnancy because of her advanced age for a first child. So they don't want to wait. So Monday comes grandson #3. Somebody better get busy and start producing girls. My son and his wife haven't had any kids yet. Maybe, they will have a girl. I love grandsons, but I also love to sew little dresses. My grandsons would not look very good in them!

that is so very cute, I just love the little scene, cute coloring to go with the paper. The border with the paw print and bones is too cute with it and wow your inside is amazing, I have never used paper on the back side of my card but that's a great idea with all the extra little leftovers we always have :)
