It's Vintage Autumn at Scrapping 4 Fun Challenges

Hello, Lovelies! I recently won a Scrapping 4 Fun challenge and the prize was being a guest designer for a future challenge.
The challenge is Vintage Autumn. It begins tomorrow 9/27/19 at 2 a.m. CEST and runs until October 10th, so check it out!

The sponsor is Digi Doodle Studios. I have colored one of her images for my make. It's called Heidi Autumn.

I've made an 8x8 Deco for a seasonal display in my home. I have several of these stands and have slowly been creating Decos to hang on them. When not on display, I store my decos in an 8x8 3-ring binder album, just like they are lumpy scrapbook layouts. Working well so far!

I used the current Outlawz Wednesday Sketch, resizing it in PSE to 8x8. I then printed it out on 110# index stock, cut out the long oval with my craft knife, centered the printed sketch oval hole I'd cut over the image that I'd printed separately, and I pencil-traced around the rim on my image. Then I took my deco scissors and cut out my image. This was all because I do not have any ovals that big to have die cut it, but it worked pretty well. I used a torn edge scissor blade so I didn't have to be perfect with my cutting.

After gathering my papers (Graphics 45 Seasons Collection) so I'd know my colors, I colored this sweet image with my ProMarkers. Next, I took my Yellow and Clear Wink of Stellas and coated her hair and the leaves with liquid glitter. I then stamped Happy Fall (Sizzix stampset and dies) directly on my image with VersaFine Clair ink. I made 40 bazillion ProMarkers dots in the sky...why? It was just one of those intuitive things, but after I finished I loved it because it looked like confetti with the leaves to me. Lastly, I took a dark brown chalk ink pad and pretty aggressively ink-distressed the oval's edges, then put that aside to work on my base.

I save the chipboard backings of patterned paper pads, so I have several G-45 boards. I adhered papers to the front and back of one of the bases with ScorTape and then ink-distressed the edges with the chalk ink pad. (The last Deco I made [the 911 tribute], I decoupaged the base papers (both sides) and the chipboard base has begun to warp while it's been hanging on display. So, I am hesitant to use wet glue now.) I framed the piece with a border of skinny gold german scrap in lieu of an additional paper layer as the sketch wanted.

I had some fall leaves, felt lace and flower blooms in my stash, so I piled on what I had. Then I mimicked the bazillion dots on the image with sequins and Nuvo Drops and Cinnamon Stickles on the background. The photos do not show how truly dimensional (I say lumpy) this piece is. I am happy with it!

It's a beautiful Autumnal creation and lovely warm colours. It's so nice to see you at Stamping Sensations but our theme is 'Flowers' which must be reflected in the stamped focal element.
