Hey, there!
Two more days of Summer officially left...are you ready for that? I'm not! Kinda hard to transition to Autumn where I live, lol. We will have Indian Summer instead of Summer, until November, probably. But, I can start "falling" for more Autmn-y art colors and elements. So, I'm trying to slip in some Fall-ish and Halloween-ish makes in between Christmas cards.
You may recall seeing the focal point on this 5x7 card. It's the 4x6 art I shared HERE.
Supplies used for the card:
SU card stock for card base and green matting
Imagination Project Chloe's Closet Reindeer Games paper and coaster tiles
Technique Junkies Watercolor NY stamp
Crafters Companion Scruffy Little Cat Ashleigh stamp
Papertrey Ink Holiday Wishes stamp - inside sentiment
Spectrum Noir markers
Memento ink
Spellbinders 5x7 Matting Basics A dies
I snapped this Chloe's Closet paper for you because it's so old (I'm thinking at least 7 years old) but also so retro it fits in fine today. And the colors are as much Fall-like as Christmas-y. Reds and oranges, greens and golds.
What is missing from the papers is the plaid sheet I've cut and used on the back of the card and for one mat layer on the front that you can barely see, which if I had to do over, I'd have used a die from the Matting Basics B set to let more of it show. I need to use the Matting dies more to see how the 2 sets work together...
Just a small point, but it goes to the sentiment: I purposefully colored Ashleigh's face and chest like she was blushing - hence the pink glow to her skin. As if she's thinking, oops, I guess I over-spent! Oh, well!! lol
Inside
Here you can see the plaid paper peeking out behind the matted focal point on the front.
Challenges I am participating in with this card:
Plaid Paper is on front and back
They want yellows, reds, greens, oranges. And since you shop for Christmas in the Fall, hey!
4. Crafty Cardmakers Challenge #218: Autumn Colors (See note to #3)
I have 5 layer and this is my 5th and final entry allowed for this challenge.
7. Always Fun Challenge #76: Fall Colors (See note to #3)
I used greens, reds, oranges and she's shopping in the Fall. :-)
That does it for me today.
Thank you for visiting me and allowing me to share my art with you.
See ya as soon as I can make my next make!
xoxoxo
