This Week's 4X6 Art

Happy FriYay, everyone!

I'm popping in to share my weekly 4X6 art, which was made with several challenges in mind.
The image and all the sentiments are hand-stamped and, except for the arrow, all are clear heat embossed.
I've stenciled at top left and bottom right.
I used a new-to-me technique that I picked up in an online class I recently took: how to draw a faux torn edge effect using the chisel end of a marker (a black Promarker used here).
The base is a 4X6 chipboard that I've painted with gold metallic acrylic paint before adhering the image layer which is 90# watercolor paper trimmed to fit.

Supplies:
Stamps: Stamping Bellas Clickabella, 7Gypsies, Stamplorations, Artistic Outpost
Stencil: Tim Holtz Mosaic Layering Stencil
Inks: Promarkers, Distress Inks, Versafine Clair
Clear Embossing Powder
Gold metallic acrylic paint
Colored pencils

Final view.
I have to chuckle at how old the Stamping Bella is, so old she looks kind of fresh again!
Thanks for the visit and have a great rest of your day!

I love this page and it's sentiment. I thought you tore or used deckle scissors to get the edges. Using a chisel end of the marker does a great job. I am hoping I'll wake up tomorrow and feel good enough to do a bit of art. Art always help everything. That goes right along with your quote. Thanks so much for joining my challenge at AJJ, and have a wonderful weekend. hugs-Erika

Loving the torn edge look and what a great page in your smaller journal. I think it is the sensible thing to do the things that make you happy - pity I have to do the things that don't - eg ironing/cleaning etc.
Happy New Year Aimslee
Hugs, Neet xx
