New 2024 news for me:
I'm pleased to announce that I have joined Pattie's Creations Design Team!
I love using her digis and will get to play every month now.
Today is the start of her latest monthly challenge #214 and I have my inspiration make to share with you, a (hopefully) humorous Christmas card.
The digis I've used on this card are Pattie's Kitty Snowman and the Pine Trees freebie offered on the challenge blog in December. I picked out 2 6x6 patterned papers from Lawn Fawn's Bokeh in the Snow paper pack and printed the trees on one and the striped scarf on another and then did some fussy-cutting and paper-piecing. I created the sentiment (using a line from the Christmas song Walking in a Winter Wonderland) in PSE before printing. I found an old scrap of Chloe's Closet Reindeer Games collection stripes paper for my base mat on my A7-sized white card base, punching the corners before adhering. The rectangular focal mat is edged with glitter as is the ground line for the background trees. I used light sherbert orange and cold grey Promarkers to color the sky, and a bright reddish-orange to color his nose and buttons.
For the inside, I attempted a little humor based on the song lyrics, so you have to know them to get it.
Here's the stanza I'm referencing:
And pretend that he is Parson Brown
He'll say, "Are you married?" We'll say, "No man"
But you can do the job when you're in town
And the back of the card.
And one last look.
I have more than a few men and women on our Christmas card list I can send this to, so I'm glad I kept it gender-neutral. I'm always needing guy cards at Christmas.

❤️⛄❤️ This is precious!!! Who doesn't love a snowcat?! Most of the snowmen I made as a child truthfully resembled more this snowcat than snowmen. LOL!
