CAS Birthday Rose

Happy Day to all, hope everything's good.
Okay, you might want to read this sitting down as I don't want to cause any fainting spells, but....I'm sharing a CAS card I made that is pretty close to one layer.
I mean, I even stenciled ON THE CARD BASE.
😮😶😱
WUT??? LOL, if you know me, you know I usually run from that.
But hey, never say never, my friends.
And, I liked it and might do it again!
The reason I took this leap was that my foggy brain state took me to mail deadline hell (thanks, President's Day!). I realized I only had about an hour to make a birthday card for a girlfriend and get it in the mail in time. So, as they say, Necessity was Invention's Mother. I was too unfocussed to trust choosing patterned papers, so I thought what the hey and quickly chose a sketch and the Mosaic Tim Holtz Layering stencil. I cut the 5x7" card base out of thick heavyweight card and grabbed my Speckled Egg Distress inkpad and a blending brush.
I had the Power Poppy Rose digi printed out already, so I colored it with Promarkers and fussy cut it out. Stamped the MFT sentiment with Tuxedo Memento ink and cut it with a Lawn Fawn banner die (also did the same with an MFT siggie stamp for the back). Stenciled the front AND back with the Distress ink and as it was drying I went into PSE, created the inside sentiment, printed it out and stamped a rose on top and bottom. (The rose rubber stamp is so old I cannot remember who made, sorry.) Assembled everything, took photos, addressed the envie and BAM! Off to the mail box it went, before I could even second-guess myself or think it was too naked or plain.

Here's the Splitcoaststampers sketch I chose, sized to 5x7".
The inside...
And the back...
And one last look.
I'm thinking I could get used to this. At least, under duress.
😁😑😉
Thanks for the visit today - have a great day!
