Tis the Season to Decorate Everything!

Happy Weekend! Hope all is well with you. It finally quit raining here for a few days anyway. It's good to see the sunshine again.
😎
I've been working on some design commitments but do have this Christmas card I can share today. For many years, I've always tried to participate in Beccy's Place Month of Holiday Cards challenge. I thought I wasn't going to get to this year until I found one of her images I'd printed out for last year's but never got to. So I colored it up and used the last of this Christmas lights paper that I've had forever.
Supplies Used:
Image and sentiments: Beccy's Place Merle digital set
Image and paper colored with Promarkers and metallic glitter gel pens
SU and Springhill Digital card stocks
Unknown Designer Paper (only stash scraps left)
Wausau Rocket Red heavyweight copy paper
Chalk ink for ink distressing
Spellbinders A7 Matting Basics dies
Spellbinders A7 Art Deco Astoria Label dies
Metallic Christmas light brads
Holographic trim strips

I chose this Splitcoaststampers sketch for my layout design, resizing it to A7 in PSE.
I also decided to use some old lightbulb brads and holographic strips from my stash. The strips are red, but when the light hits it, it takes on the colors around it, so cool. I used one of the sentiments in the Beccy's digi set, but I added the first line to it with the Text Tool in PSE before printing out and die cutting. I colored Merle the giraffe with Promarkers and glitter gel pens. I also colored the bulbs on the designer paper with the gel pens for some extra twinkle.
Inside, I matted with the red paper, then die cut the Beccy's sentiments I arranged in PSE and added the Sparkly New Year with the Text Tool before printing out.
The back of the card shown with the front.
A close-up at an angle to try to capture some of that twinkly glittery shine...
And final view. Thanks so much for the visit and have a great Sunday!

You've done a wonderful job with your card Aimeslee, the front, inside and even the back are decorated beautifully! The holographic strips are awesome, I love how they change colour in the light, and the twinkly lights are a fabulous addition too, they coordinate nicely with the image. So pleased you could join in again this year!
Cheers,
Beccy

What a fabulous and fun Christmas card. I love giraffes!
That sentiment is so true of me these days, hubby says if he keeps still for too long he's worried I'll cover him in decorations too (little does he know what I've got in store for him to wear on Christmas Day!).
Thanks for always supporting our challenge.
