Witchie Gertie Halloween

Hello Hello! Hope you are all doing okay and enjoying some good weather. We got a little rain this week and it hasn't been too hot. We seem to finally be easing into Fall.
I've got a Halloween card to share. Jan's Digi Stamps released a really cute candy corn witch digi this month, but I have 2 of her old Witchie Gertie images that I've never used, so I told myself I had to use them first before getting her new one, lol. I bought them years ago at Sparkle and Sprinkle before Jan went out on her own. I also bought my first Beccy's Place images there before she struck out on her own.

I used the current Creative Sketchy Girls' sketch for my layout design.
Supplies Used:
Color Mates black card base
SU gray and gold card scraps
Springhill Digital Card
Memory Box Nightfall designer papers
Promarkers to color images
Jan's Digi Stamp Witchy Gerty
Avery Elle Red Riding Hood stamp
Impression Obsession brick wall stamp
Lost Coast Designs Door stamp
Versafine Clair and Versamagic Chalk inks
Quickutz bats die
Computer-generated sentiment
Inside the card, another computer-generated sentiment (heehee) on Memory Box designer paper mats.
On back, more Memory Box paper and a gold scrap with a stamped and punched siggie.
And a final view. That poor Red. I sure hope Gertie didn't eat her. But speaking of EATS...
😬😁😉
It's that time of the week to share some food for Rain's Art and Dinner Date. We had spaghetti a few nights ago. For years I always made it from scratch according to my late father's recipe that he learned in the Navy. But since Honey retired and decided he's our cook, he prefers using a jar sauce. We now make Dad's version every year on his birthday in May. Anyway, I really wanted something vinegary with mine, so I fixed a little side of pickled okra, olives and dill pickle. Growing up, Dad would fix a big pot of spaghetti for supper every Saturday, along with a vinegar-based cabbage and carrot cole slaw salad. This is probably why I always want something vinegary.
Then we both were craving chocolate but we couldn't decide between brownies or cake, so I made a Texas Sheetcake, which is kind of a happy medium between the two.
This is some seriously GOOOOOD stuff, y'all.
Well, that's it for me.
Thanks for the visit and have a great Friday! XOX

MY CHALLENGE PLAYLIST:
I hand-stamped the brick wall, the LCD large 4-inch door and Red Riding Hood
Red is Trick or Treating (like the kids in the photo) at Witchie Gertie's and I used some of the same colors as in the photo

Very cute Halloween card! I have to start mine soon. I only need 3...just for the grandchildren. Next year it will be four! Hopefully, we get a girl in the mix this time. Havw spent ALL MORNING looking for new Medicare prescription plans. What a pain! I did find one thought that saves us about 1100. I guess that was time well spent! We finally get to dump CVS and go back to Walgreens. CVS always treats me like a drug addict because I am on pain medicine. I'm getting really tired of that!

A fabulous Halloween card, just how I like them - cute and not too scary :)

The card is so cute and a bit scary with the witch, just perfect for Halloween! And the food/desert looks delicious. Would you believe I never had okra and I do eat all kinds of veggies. Definitely want to try it.
Thanks so much for sharing with us at Four Seasons challenge!

Love the Halloween. I have Gertie as well but didn't use her this year. I belong to a Facebook group and had to make 12 Halloween cards this year. I love Jan's 'Haunted' spirits in particular and used them a few times. I will pass on the vinegar though. Not my scene.

I love Halloween and your card is brilliant!! Love both the sentiments! I resisted following the link to the cake recipe! I've recently given up chocolate as I was having far too much that was good for me.

Fun card Aimeslee. I like all the elements you incorporated in your card. Thank you for entering the Anything Goes Challenge at Jan's Digi Stamps and for using one of Jan's images in your creation.
I haven't had Okra for years. It brings back memories of my childhood when my Dad would try to grow things he hadn't before - pepino was another year but can't remember the others.

That witch is lots of fun, and Little Red is adorable. This card is such a fun take on Halloween. I just hope Little Red doesn't come any closer-smile. Thanks for linking up at TIOT Aimeslee. And here in New England Saturday night was always hot dog and beans night, but spaghetti would be a great choice. And your Texas sheet cake looks good, and I agree, it is the perfect choice between brownies and cake. Hace a great new week. Hugs-Erika

Hello Aimeslee, that's a fabulous Halloween card - love the cute image and the scene you've created.

I do like reading about your recipes as well - spaghetti is a family favourite here too, but also sauce from a jar (my two are very fussy eaters!). The brownies look yummy - by the looks of your picture I think I would call that a traybake. I've a few different recipes for those in my repertoire!

Thanks for joining in with us at Colour Crazy Craft Challenge, looking forward to seeing you there again. Sarah - DT
