Hello and Happy Hump Day to all.
I have a girlfriend who loves to go to Louisiana to gamble and if she walks past any kind of arcade game you can bet she is stopping to play it. So when I saw this image I thought it was perfect for her. Doesn't this pretty gambler look happy and content? Now me, I have always been wary of gambling and I don't know gamble from gimble, so I actually had to Google to figure out how to color the machine. Compared to some I saw, I kept this one pretty plain. 😂
For my A7 design layout, I used this Splitcoaststampers tri-fold sketch from 2006!
I printed the designer papers I used on Springhill Digital card. They are from this digital paper pack by Twinkle Lane Designs, Casino Games, one of several nice digital paper packs that Twinkle Lane sells. I usually only use digital papers for a specific theme when I don't have real papers for it and I do stay on the hunt for specialty digi papers. So I was happy to find this pack. 😍
My focal image features this adorable My Besties Lucky Slot Diva Doll 14, which I printed out on Springhill Digital card and colored using a mix of Promarkers, colored pencils, glitter pens and gel pens. But before coloring, I stenciled around her using a 6x6 Crafters Workshop Mini Sunburst stencil and Squeezed Lemonade Distress Ink. Once everything dried, I cut her out using a Spellbinders Labels 10 die and a also a red framing mat cut from a scrap of Bazzill card. I ended up taping the right side of the image instead of the left (to attach to the card front), so I had to cut a second frame out of white card to attach to the back of the red frame. Sheesh! To be fair, that ended up being a good thing because I was worried the image surface wasn't stiff enough for hanging half of itself out there. I also printed the front sentiment created in PSE with the papers, so it was printed in color.
Inside I attached a sentiment strip that I created in PSE and printed out with the papers. I cropped the top graphic from another of the paper designs.
On back, more paper and a stamped and punched siggie inked with a blender brush using Ranger Dandelion Archival ink.
A close-up to show the glitter and gel penning and the stenciling.
And final view. Thanks for the visit and have a good one! XXO
