Hello, hope everyone is doing well. Honey and I are dragging. We guess it's been the weather. It has rained and rained and rained the last few days. We have definitely needed it, but it does play havoc with us. Honey's been dizzy and cranky because he's dizzy, poor thing. The barometric pressure changes affect us both negatively, we'll just have to wait it out.
I occupied my time making this Christmas card using an image from Power Poppy's Cuddle in the Cabin Digital set. I colored it with a combination of Distress and Zig Clean Color Markers, colored pencils, various gel pens and Posca paint pens. 6x6 textured blue Bazzill card base, TH Distress silver foil card and some very old Sonburn patchwork patterned Christmas paper that I'd been hoarding for over a decade. I just love these shades of blue, they speak to my soul. The Stamplorations and Papertrey Ink sentiments were stamped with Versamark and white heat-embossed. The 2 dark blue panels were edged with a silver Posca paint pen. I used oval and scalloped oval dies on the focal image that was printed on Springhill Digital card. I added a metallic silver weave ribbon and punched snowflakes dotted with Viva Decor Ice White Pearl Pen. Metallic gel pens and a white Posca paint pen were used to "color" the snow and moon and front porch light. I die cut a Crafters Companion reindeer out of DCWV silver glitter card and backed it with 2 more white layers for strength before adhering.
I chose Sweet Sketch Wednesday 2's current challenge sketch #234 for my layout design, but I took some liberties with it to make it work for me, namely flipping it horizontally. Otherwise, I followed it faithfully. Showing sketch and card together here so you can see.
Here's the shine angle shot. This girl's on fire! 😍😊
Papertrey Ink sentiments stamped with Twilight Versafine Clair ink on white card matted inside.
Back of the card shown with the front for continuity check.
And final view. Thanks so much for visiting and have a good evening and week, xoxo

This is a gorgeous card Aimeslee, well it does have my favourite colour of blue, so of course I love it!
You can send some of that rain over to the UK, we are desperate for it here.
Hope you have a good week ahead.

Beautiful holiday card. The blue is beautiful. One of my very favorite Bazzill colors. Looks like Persian Blue Bling. Love the sparkly deer and all of the other lovely elements. Thanks for sharing at 613 Avenue Create's, August "Anything Goes" Challenge.
Beautiful colouring and that cabin is perfect set among all the shades of blue. Thanks for sharing with us at Happy Little Stampers :)
OH please send some rain in my direction. My gardens are getting brown like it is September, not August. And being on a well I am starting to get worried about using water if we don't get rain soon. And I am also loving your card. It feels so nice and chilly, which it is not here right now. And it is a very pretty holiday scene. Hope your spirits lift and you see a bit of sun. hugs-Erika
Beautiful! Thank you for sharing with us at Peace on Earth Christmas Challenge.
SO much detail and so much beauty on this card Aimes. Sorry to hear that you have rain and it makes you both sick. Can I just tell you we are in the middle of a heat wave, it's currently 28C (82F) not rubbing it in or anything hahaha. I hope you both feel better soon.
Hugs

Wow! And wow again! My jaw is on the floor! This is just so beautiful. I love how you incorporated the Power Poppy image on the front! But, if you know me, you know how I love mini books and folded folios, and all the paper! This is just perfect! Love! Thank you for playing along with the Power Poppy Christmas in July Challenge!
The silver and blue are perfect for this Power Poppy image! I live in Alaska and the snow definitely takes on a blue hue on nights when the clouds are trying to take over.

What an amazing Christmas card. I like how you used non-traditional Christmas colors. The blue makes things feel "frosty". I'm loving all the sparkle and shine. Thanks for joining us at Happy Little Stampers ~ Christmas Challenge.

Aimeslee this is just gorgeous. I love everything about it, so much work has gone into it. It will be a very lucky person who receives this. Sorry your weather has been rubbish and the atmospheric pressure makes you and hubby cranky. I find it makes my had feel like it is in a vice so can sympathise with you. Well done for being creative though :)
Thank you very much for entering your lovely card into our challenge. Good luck with the prize draw.
