Hello again. Hope Tuesday is treating you right.
I have a Christmas card with trees and stars for you today. I went with a monochrome-ish look with various brown and gold shades. I love brown with gold, to my mind they are in the same color family (yellow). I've used a rich brown kraft card for my A7 card base and mats, and Paper Studio Gifts of Gold patterned paper . I also used some Crafters Companion Golden Glow Shimmering card on the big star and the tall trees, along with gold glitter paper on the trees. I used Sizzix Thinlit tree die, Stamplorations tree die, Spellbinders nested star dies and Lawn Fawn sentiment banner die. The little stars scattered about are punched and the white star was stamped and heat-embossed. The SeeD's sentiment was also.
I used the current challenge sketch at Cut It Up, but I turned it two ways: the top photo is the original sketch; the next photo is me rotating it to the left, then final photo I flipped that horizontally. I also used a star instead of a circle element.
Close up to try to capture some of the shimmer and glittery sparkles.
The back of the card with the front...
Hero Arts stamped sentiments inside...
And final view. Thanks for visiting and enjoy your day! XOX

ReplyDeleteJust fabulous, Aimeslee! I love how you rotate and flip the sketches to make them work for you and as always love the decorated back of the card!
ReplyDeleteIt's a hopefully quiet Monday for me, and some of that Texas heat has made it here to New Hampshire. AC's are on, and I don't care if I accomplish anything outside today. I am impressed you can make holiday cards in this heat. I do like this glitzy and sparkly star and tree. In fact the tree looks great on the star, and the gold is perfect. I hope you are staying cool. hugs-Erika
