Hello, happy you dropped by. Hope all is well. I think I am finally beginning to get used to the hot weather. Of course, I'm only out in it 15 minutes or so at a time. 😁 Down here, you know it's Summer when it doesn't cool off any until right before sunrise. That's been happening for a couple of weeks now, so today's Summer Solstice beginning at 4:14 a.m. will be the longest version of that but, alas, not the hottest.
So, it's a good time for me to cool off by making a snowy Christmas card, eh?
Today's card uses a pre-colored My Besties printables set I won as a challenge prize that includes the Bestie and 2 winter snow background, one with footprints in the snow, whch I used here on the front. I used the other one on the card back. So, I did no coloring at all. Don't you just love her eyes? They are like pools of blue glass, so pretty. She's wearing blood orange colors, so I went with brown and burnt orange for my card stock colors and a yellow gold accent to match the lantern's light and her hair bow.
I chose this Splitcoaststampers sketch for my A7 layout design, showing it with my card so you can see how it was followed..
All of the card stock is SU except for the KI Memories yellow gold glitter card I used as a focal mat and to cut the Sizzix Tim Holiday Words dies and punched stars. I printed the Bestie and the winter snow background out separately on HP photo paper. I fussy cut the Bestie and popped her up with foam tape and then I added the white punched stars.
Inside I've stamped Crafters Companion and Flourishes sentiments with Majestic Blue Versafine ink on a Spellbinders Labels 10 die cut.
I used another of the Besties winter snow background paper for the back printed out on HP photo paper.
An overhead shot to show continuity from front to back and then a close-up of the shimmery glitter on the yellow gold sentiment and focal mat.
And a final view. Thanks for coming by and I hope you will stay cool wherever you are! XOX
