Tres Chic Tag

Happy Saturday, everyone. Hope you are all well.

I needed another tag to gift someone, so I stenciled and went with a Paris theme again. I've been enjoying both and also using my Spellbinders nested die cuts as tags in lieu of the traditional shape. This time I've used Spellbinders Mega Curved Rectangle dies to cut  my layers. (For the pink layers, I turned dies over onto my pink paper and ran my cutting knife very carefully around the die edge to get the thin pink borders.) The front base is black card that I smooshed a Versamark pad through a harlequin patterned stencil and then heat embossed with Ranger Gold powder. The black and gold skinny striped layer is a paper scrap and the printed digital image is from a Gecko Galz collage sheet. On some scrap black card I stamped the Pink Cat Studio sentiment with Versamark, then heat-embossed that with Ranger Blush Pearl powder. I punched a hole at top and picked out an assortment of fibers and trim to thread through. Yes, tres chic, non? 😉😊😉
I wanted to include some of my sentiments so I decorated the back as well. I stenciled the same pattern with Versamark ink onto a die cut navy blue card scrap and heat-embossed it with the gold powder before gluing it to the front. Then I stamped the phrases on pink card scraps and adhered. The sentiments are by Artistic Outpost, Leave Memories and Stampers Anon/Tim Holtz.
Here's the stencil I used.
And final view. Thanks for visiting and have a crafty day! XXO

  6. This tag has attitude, not just that you used the word on it. I like that vintage image. It is not only tres chic but also perfect against that diamond black and gold. I think you've been having lots of good art time lately, and I hope you're feeling better. I need to use some of my nested dies. I have enough of them. I've been crafting long enough that what was big at one point has come back to be popular again. Have a great new week, and thanks for sharing this with us at TIOT. hugs-Erika

  7. This is such a different style from what I am used to but I sure appreciate the amount of work that went into it! Love the dark colour scheme as well :)

  8. So artistic, just what you had planned. This would sell out in a minute in a craft show. I love the pink borders against the dark colours, and how you added pink twine/threads to you bundle. This rocks my world!--Bethie
