Happy FriYay! Hope you are all doing okay. Time for a new challenge at Outlawz Festive Fridays and I have my DT make to share with you today.
My grandnephew's first birthday is in a few weeks, so I made this card to send him.
Here are the themes for this challenge. I went with Birthday.
Our sponsor for May is Kate Hadfield Designs. I used pre-coloured images from her digi stamp set Monsterific Birthday, which you can download for free if you are subscribe to her newsletter (also free).
For my design layout, I used Sketch #229 from Sweet Sketch Wednesday 2's current challenge. I followed it as to elements but my squares are different proportions due to my error in resizing the focal image. I'd already messed up once by putting the paper in the printer upside down, so I just went with my too-large second print.
In PSE I arranged the cake, yellow monster and pink monster together like I wanted (her images are .png's, so it's easy to do), then added the sentiment text with the typing tool before printing. I used a white 6x6" card base, Avery Elle's Everyday collection patterned papers and orange SU card mats. Kept it flat and simple for mailing.
Inside, I composed a sentiment in PSE and printed out on yellow copy paper. On the back of the card, I added more of the SU orange card and a stamped/punched siggie stippled with Cracked Pistachio Distress Ink.
And a final view. Thanks for visiting me today. Take care and have a great day! xoxo
