Butterfly Thank You

Greetings on this Tuesday and final day of May!
I have a thank you card to share. It's for a friend who did something unexpected and very very sweet. So I was moved to drop what I was doing and make it to send her.

I used this Splitcoaststampers sketch for my design layout.

I also thought I'd try my new-to-me embossing folder. Thought I'd show the back as well so you can see how really cool that texture looks!
And I used patterned papers that Claudia was so kind to send me as a prize for winning Girlz Rebel Challenge #13.
I cut the base mat with a Lawn Fawn stitched rectangle die and ink-edged it with the VFC Warm Breeze. Then I ran my Kitsch Flamingo ink pad over the dry-embossed texture to highlight it a bit. I used an Altenew die for the center section to frame a Gecko Galz butterfly collage digital stamp I printed on vellum and then ink-stippled with the Flamingo and the Breeze. Isn't it soft? I stamped the Crafter's Companion Scruffy Little Cat sentiment with the Warm Breeze and heat-embossed it before cutting with a Spellbinders Labels 1 die.
Here's a close-up to show the heat embossing on the sentiment, butterflies and also on the pp. Not showing up completely well, but well enough for amateur sports, lol. I cut the 3 butterflies with a Papertrey Ink die and then stamped and heat-embossed with the coordinating stamps. The butterflies are glue-dotted on the front.

Inside and back of card: I stamped the inside with more of the PTI butterflies and some sentiments. I used the DI Kitsch Flamingo and VF Clair Warm Breeze inks. On back though, I stippled the stamped and punched siggie with some Peacock Feathers DI and also the scrap strip underneath it. A bit too green, but oh well. The striped embossed pp is from what Claudia sent me.
And final view. It's my first time using the Kitsch Flamingo DI ink color and I love it! I hope to be back later today with an art journal page. Thanks for the visit! Take care, xoxo

MY CHALLENGE PLAYLIST:
The center butterfly collage was laser-printed on clear white vellum and ink-stippled.
The center butterfly collage is a digital image from Gecko Galz

Pink and blue work together so well, don't they? besides the colors, I love the butterflies on this card. And it sounds like you are making this card for the best reason too. Happy end of May. Hope June starts off well for you. Hugs-Erika
