Happy FriYay, everybody, hope all is well in your part of the world.
Time for another new Festive Fridays challenge at Outlawz, sponsored by Sherry West Arts. My design team make features her digital image The Flockers Funny Birds, which I colored with Promarkers. I'll be honest, at first sight I was not too enthused about creating with a bunch of silly sketched birds, but by the time I finished staring at them up close coloring them they put me under their spell! These are very funny birds. Each expression is just too much, they crack me up!
Here are the themes for this current challenge and the beginning and ending dates. My card qualifies for Birthday and Animals.
I used both the sketch and the color palette from the current challenge at Incy Wincy Designs.
The sentiment is a From the Heart digi printed on Springhill Digital card, as was the image. I cut the white card base from a 12x12 sheet of card stock and then used Lawn Fawn's Really Rainbow 6x6 collection for my patterned papers. Darlene and Diane have started another challenge called Colorful Options (link is below). I used both my papers and my coloring with Promarkers to meet the Rainbow option. I'm so happy they started this challenge because I usually tried to play at The Rainbow Card Challenge but they closed, so it's perfect timing!
The inside of my card has another sheet of LF Really Rainbow paper, a juicy watermelon color. I added a computer-created sentiment that has a few plays on words for the birds card front. I printed out on Springhill Digital card.
On back, even more Lawn Fawn plus a scrap with the Kaiserkraft siggie stamped on it.
Now, a mini-photo shoot of these birds and their googlie-eyed expressions! Here you can see the effect of my filling the eye balls with Nuvo Clear Glaze. Looks a bit spooky, eh? 😁
Hope you enjoyed the views. They seriously make me smile every time I look at them now.
And a final view of my card. Thanks for "flying by" and I hope you have a satisfying weekend lined up. Stay well and craft everything! xoxo
